Default Crime Prevention Lease Addendum - Dallas Texas

Any help would be much appreciated - Location Dallas, TX

Today, in my mailbox I received a notice:

MULTI TENANT CRIME PREVENTION LEASE ADDENDUM

Has anyone ever received this from their apt office? What does this mean? Is it just suspicion? I understand that if I sign the notice it gives the management easier to evict me if I am found doing something illegal on the premises.

Having said that, I am assuming someone in my building must have said something about foot traffic in order for this notice to be given to me. Or is this notice routine? Given out cause they forgot to give to me in the beginning of my lease?

Anyone have any experience?

Or could this be something the management forgot to give me when I signed the lease?

If you google crime prevention leases addendum it pulls up as a PDF city of Dallas.

I am planning not to use my place now till lease is us up in 2 more months.

Should I be worried about eviction? Or what not?

Thank you for the advice and suggestions. Maybe ignore the notice and don't sign it and see if a second notice is sent to me? Then sign?

What if I don't sign the notice?

Are they the management just setting me up to sign and evict if they have evidence...

See:

If the document is this:

https://dallascityhall.com/departmen...seAddendum.pdf

Then it may be the apartment complex complying with the city code they weren't complying with before.

Thank you. Yes, it is the same document. Yes, I did read the above link. I just found it odd they would leave in my mailbox now. My lease doesn't end till January. Am I over analyzing all this? Thought maybe the apt management had suspicion over illegal activities hence the document given to me.
