New (but Old?) Treasures "VIP"

I usually go to Treasures about once every 4-5 months. Went earlier today (Sunday 10/27) and found out that as of a week ago (10/19?), they roped off the back where all the dances took place. Now you have to pay a fee (buy a bottle) for $80. But apparently that $80 also gets you upstairs, so you could do either. Why buy a bottle to go to the back when you can just go upstairs is beyond me.

But, in the meantime, if you don't want to pay that extra fee, dances are now done in the front booths.

I left when I found out. It was pretty slow (maybe only 2 dancers at 1 PM-ish, one of whom told me about this), and the other dancer I saw was going upstairs with a guy.

Closing off the back is incredibly disappointing, though.
I get wanting the extra revenue, but it seems like a really dumb idea.

First off, I have to ask if what I was told was true? If anybody else can confirm or tell me I was told wrong, feel free and let me know. I was super disappointed. I have to pretty much plan my visits in advance, and it'll be awhile before I can go back.

What was funny was that I immediately thought I should have read these boards before going, but there doesn't seem to have been any chatter about it here. I don't have premium so no idea if anybody has mentioned it in their Encounters.

The dancer I saw mentioned the change but I hadn’t been there in so long I didn’t pay much attention to it. I was there around 2:30 on a weekday and there were 10-12 ladies there, rough guess.

Yeah, it's definitely a bummer. I can't imagine anybody that's used to just going to the back is happy right now. Treasures has always been my go-to for Houston, but this pretty much makes it a pass for me now.

Desperation. The back area was the best thing Treasures had going for them. I still remember the chair fort days when they were the best club in town.

Too bad I guess. Church is still good last few times I went.

The back area is on the main floor big room with booths for lapdances? If that's the case, I was planning to visit next week, but I'm thankful you posted this because I will no longer be going to Treasures until this changes.

That is correct. Basically the whole back area with booths with the slightly raised floor. It was roped off when I was there early Sunday afternoon.
