Ok, ladies as you may know our esteemed Gov. Goodhair (Perry) has just signed a bill requiring that all abortions 24hrs before being performed must be preceded by a sonogram, counseling, and an opportunity to listen to the babies heartbeat. The only concession is rape, incest and fetal abnormality.
The Republican party has an overwhelming majority in the legislature and the original bill was that there were no exceptions for the sonogram regardless of incest or rape. Fortunately Democrats were able to water the bill down to its current form. This is really funny because Gov.Perry has declared an emergency for fiscal matters and yet Republicans are worried about abortions that have no fiscal impact on the state budget at all.
The Republicans in the Senate and Congress (Republicans have a majority in the House but not the Senate) are doggedly attacking Planned Parenthood as providing federally funded abortions and stating that abortions were 90% of what Planned Parenthood does, which you might know is a lie. Abortions are only 10% of what they do and the rest is women's health services and there are no federally funded abortions.
Ladies your personal health and well being is being attacked by the Republican party. They are not only trying to control your vagina but your liberties as well. I will be posting what Republicans are doing to women with the facts and links to back up what Im telling you without the spin you hear on Fox news.
