Guys,

I recently called a BP girl at 336-290-7285 (see link below) and got a place to leave a voicemail message. I did that.

About five days later, I got a text message from 670-76 (not a regular phone number):
"Calling 'escorts' can contribute to human trafficking, help us discourage this! Who's been calling 'escorts'? Visit EscortCallers.com Reply STOP to opt out"
I tried the website and it had my verbal message posted with my phone number! They also post textmessages you send to these fake providers.

Fortunately, I use a separate phone for my extracurricular activities and I didn't say anything incriminating. But, I could have. And, it was still my voice being associated with an escort ad.

Working like extortion, the website will allow you to "unpublish" your number for a price.

What do people know about this? How will we warn people of this?

I'm glad I read your post. I'm a legitimate Escort, and was not aware of this type of method used to mislead a potential client. It is good that you do use different contact information only for your private entertainment.

Their messages and website explicitly discourage our hobby, but it is clear it is merely for someone to make some money. I can see it breaking up a number of marriages and embarrassing people who enjoy our hobby. In any case, I've done what I can about it.

1st you should have done better research, than chick is all over the internet as a "cam whore."

2nd it is bullshit they charge you to remove your info. You can probably get them for wiretapping laws. In most states you have to inform the other party you are recording audio.

It is no different that what is happening with mugshots. CC companies were going to shut them down (quit processing cards) but I don't think that happened.

Get everyone with a hobby phone to call the damn number day and night and fill it with so much BS they have to sort through and listen to each call. Two can play at this game.

Wiretapping wouldn't apply here regardless if it was a two party consent state...he left a voicemail. He knew it was being recorded.

These sites are total extortion. My friend's son is on ExposingJohns.com. Crazy!
