Lightbulb Pre Booking...what happened to it?

What happened to pre booking... Why are providers not requiring this? and why would a real hobbiest not want to? Are people that desperate that they can't wait or plan in advance?
and if its for discretion reasons....you would think you would want to pre book and be a little more professional instead of street like.
I would love to hear peoples opinions on this.

What happened to pre booking... It still exists.

Why are providers not requiring this? Some do, some don't.

and why would a real hobbiest not want to? Lots of reasons. Pre-booking is great. Problem is, sometimes it is tough to pin down a work schedule too far in advance, other than "oops, I have have three hours RIGHT NOW."

It happens.

Are people that desperate that they can't wait or plan in advance? Sometimes. Lol.

and if its for discretion reasons....you would think you would want to pre book and be a little more professional instead of street like.

Try not to be too judgmental. Not all of the providers who don't require pre-booking are
"street like." And some that do, are.

Takes all flavors and types.

I think a lot of providers feel the need to prebook to travel and make sure they have enough scheduled appointments to make the trip worth while. I don't plan out more than 48 hours in advance for weekends or 24 hours on weekdays. As Wallance said, sometimes I have a 3 hour gap in my schedule and find someone to see.

I sometimes try to pre book, but work seems to get in my way. I understand the traveling ladies need to know they can make expenses when coming to an area. Most of the time I have a three to five hour window.

Hey, Wallance, recognize that quote. lol

DBella, I have been on the boards in West Texas since 2001. West Texas, as a matter of course, does not prebook. With the oilfield and agricultural workes around, it is sometimes hard to set things up ahead of time.

And it is much better for you if they do not prebook instead of booking and canceling. Providers have learned that if they have a good rep, they can visit WT and get plenty of appointments.

I have never had any luck pre booking. For travelling providers, I give them screening information, and a commitment during their stay so they can plan financially, but for work and family reasons, more often than not a preset time will not be convenient, and things change by the hour in my day. I therefore, have to take whatever break I get and try to "hit it!"

A lot of us in west Texas work in the oilfield and most of our schedules at 24/7 oncall. Especially working for a servicing company. I usually don't know what job I'm going on until an hour before. The only time most of us can pre-book is when were on vacation.

There is nothing unprofessional about an ECCIE gent not being able to prebook here in West Texas. If that is your view and your stance then you will greatly narrow down your opportunities. Of course that is your choice. In this part of the world there are a lot of folks that work shift work that can change quickly. And a whole lot of the guys out here that hobby are married or have other family ties. This is not your basic 9 to 5 plan your day type of profession. If you can roll with the flow a little bit then you will be much more successful!

My windows open and close through the day. Work changes. I don't consider it unprofessional to work with a guy. My chiropractor and my dentist ect. All understand the need to fit me in on my fluid schedule if they want my business.

I guess I am lucky to be in control of my time and calendar - I almost always pre book far in advance with traveling ladies and have had only one problem ever with what turned out to be a very flaky provider anyway. I prefer to pre book and do it as soon as I see a new ad for someone coming my way that I would like to see. I understand that everyone can't do it, but it seems to buy me security and makes the ladies happy in advance.

When I used to hobby I pretty much gave up on pre-booking. Every single time the provider cancelled or blew me off. I understand that shit happens but the straw that broke the camel's back was when a lady I was dying to see came through town. Pre-booked like she requested, then 20 minutes after our start time she texts me that she fell ill and was cancelling. The next day I read a review on here from some other monger and the time that he saw her was a 1/2 hour after I was scheduled to see her and he donated the same amount I was quoted. So yeah, I'm done with that shit.

i only prebook.

i have to travel a bit for either amarillo or lbk, so if a girl won't give me the right vibe ahead of time, it's a pass.

There is more than a little irony here Bella. Pistolero quoted a portion of my review for you that indicated the only reason I was able to meet you is that I pre-booked with another lady who subsequently cancelled.

Had she not--and had you not taken the arguably last-minute request from me--I would never have had the pleasure to meet you.
