Reviews, whats the deal guys?

I noticed that the Killeen/temple/Waco area pretty much has the least amount of reviews posted. I know there are a lot of guys in the hobby in the area but not many of you post. You can tell by how many people look at the reviews there are quite a few of us here. I took a few months to do my first post too, so no fault. Afraid of getting caught I guess. Come on guys, the point of reviews is to let everyone know if there is a girl in the area worth seeing or not seeing. I try and put most of my great experiences and I know a few of you guys have been grateful and seen a few of the girls I have found recently. You have pm'd me about many girls. If it wasn't for people like Old Sarge a few others now and then and few newbies the Killeen metro boards would be dead. Come on guys, posting (imaginary) reviews online is not gonna get anyone in trouble. If you don't post, what's the issue?

I see a lot of regulars like JustAlisha a few days ago. I've already post two reviews on her. Didn't feel the need to write another.
I usually post one or two per VP.

Some lurk and rarely if ever post or do reviews. While others post occasionally and rarely review and there are those that post often and review every time. We all have our comfort level for using the site and to each their own.

I personally fall into the category of the occasional poster but I rarely review unless the lady in question is new and needs the review or something out of the ordinary happens. The last 8 ladies I've personally seen didn't need the review since they already had plenty of recent ones. Writing a review takes time which something I have very little of. Finding the time to see a particular lady is hard enough with my busy schedule and RW commitments but having to write a review in addition makes it even tougher.

I don't know how others will respond to your thread but at least I've given my viewpoint on the matter for what it's worth.

Jjo your right, and I'm a fan of your work, I don't know how you do it. I think there aren't a whole lot of girls coming through here. Personally I'm a bit hesitant to post a shitty review the chick might be crazy and start blowing up my phone (especially a bp girl) or the next girl might see a shitty review I did and be hesitant because I gave another girl a thumbs down. I would be curious to know how many local members there are that routinely post my guess would be......maybe 25, in Killeen at least.

We gents are all on here, fundamentally, to meet ladies. The ladies are here to meet gents.

On this site, the reviews are a "necessary evil" of that goal.

On other sites, not so.

Some guys buy premium service.

Some of us have premium for life.

Some earn premium service by posting reviews.

Some don't have it and don't care.

The ladies here need reviews, to generate business. They are NOT able to read the ROS comments, nor able to comment in the review section.

Some guys do not write reviews.

Some guys do.

I wrote a ton of reviews, back in the day. Lost a bunch in the "crash" and then with the "P" went down.

When I joined ECCIE, I was made a mod and decided then not to do reviews, out of a sense of fairness and impartiality. I think I have posted one review in the last 3 years. (Although I have made some comments in the Men's locker room - mini reviews, if you will).

Here are some reasons I have heard for not writing reviews:
Afraid of being recognized/outed in a small town by posting a review
Afraid of leaving "incriminating" evidence
Afraid of writing the truth in the event of a bad experience for concern of retaliation
Afraid of the critique of my fellow hobbyist on my writing style or choice of woman
Afraid of harming a ladies reputation.
Too busy to write a review
No real desire to write review.

To me, none of the reasons truly matter.

IMO, IF you want to write a review, follow a few simple rules.
1) Make the title useful - there is a sticky at the top of the reviews forum about review titles
2) Be truthful. Yes the story telling is pure fiction at times, but don't put activities that didn't take place
3) Be considerate. IF your lady provides a service or discount or something "extra" because you are a great guy/she is feeling generous, DO NOT write about it. Others will then expect it of her and now she is "on the spot".

My thoughts for what it is worth.

As to the least amount of reviews, JacJo, Our forum is set up differently from all the other areas on this board. In the days of the "P" we had even fewer reviews. When I asked ownership to stand up this forum, I asked it be structured a little differently, so as to encourage more reviews. What I can say is, our review count on its worst day, is considerably better than it ever was on the "P".

Thanks for the info guys. sorry if it came off as critical. All good reasons. I too have had a couple of regulars but tend to always be on the look out for someone new. Sarge, it is good to know that the Killeen board is better than it used to be. I know you had something to do with that too, so thanks.
