Etiquette Question: Going Over Time
I had a little free time this morning between conference calls at work and decided to kill some time here on the board reading reviews. I’m not trying to stir the pot here, but I noticed several where the time was listed as 30+ or 60+, or where it was mentioned in the ROS that the session ran over the time scheduled. How do most of you guys handle this? Do you tip the lady? Many of the reviews did not mention any gratuity. I know there are some guys on here who never tip regardless of the situation and others who are more generous. Personally I feel if a lady is generous enough with her time to allow me to go over, I do not think twice about giving her a little extra something to express my gratitude for a nice session. How much is customary or appropriate? If a lady tells you 45 minutes into an hour session that your time is almost up, how do you react? Do you get irritated and label her a “clock watcher,” or do you appreciate the gentle reminder to get things moving? I have had sessions where I have enjoyed myself to the point I totally lose track of time (it’s easy to do), and others where I could not wait to cum and get the hell out of Dodge.
Who is responsible for making sure a session stays on track? Ladies, how do you handle clients that like to go over time?

As a newbie, I'm interested as well. I usually tip. Not as much as I can, but probably more than I should.
I don't know if I'm crossing the fine line between "appreciative client" and "chump."

I bought an egg timer. I've been a little too generous in my time as of late and I feel that some have taken advantage of my not being a clock watcher.
As for tipping in order to show your appreciation if you do go over the time you had paid for........Yes, you should tip her.
I know some of you don't believe in tipping and tell others not to tip. That's fine, but stop being a dick about it and let others do what they want.
As for tipping in general........Let me put it this way.....If you tip her, you're going to be remembered, you're going to get the time slot you want, you're going to get better service, you're going to get extras that regular guys wouldn't get. She's going to go the extra mile you.
You don't tip, don't expect to get the perks others may get.
I don't expect tips, but if I allow you to go over your time....tip me and show that you appreciated the extra time I gave you and the extra service you received.
Plain and simple.
When you go see a therapist, you're going to get the hour you paid for and nothing more. Lets not forget this is a business.
I've had a few beers tonight.....I'm feeling rather buzzed and honest this evening.

I think it is both parties responsibility to be mindful of the time. Here is a quote from my etiquette page.
Quote:
Donation must be presented in a discreet manner, preferably on my desk and the donation fanned out OR placed on the bathroom counter (On Tour) before we begin our session. If this has not been done, our session will not continue. You should know the proper donation amount and have it correctly counted and ready before you or I arrive. Please do not place us in the uncomfortable and awkward situation of being short on the donation amount. Extra time not originally planned for can nearly always be accommodated. The rate for that is $100/half-hour. Be aware of this amount beforehand so that there are no questions on donation during our visit.
Please do not mention, discuss or refer to money during our visit.

Thread winner. I'm stealing it, copyright be damned.

I have always thought that going over time depends on what is going on. If you are just chit chatting, and nothing else is going on, it isn't a big deal. Now on the other hand, if activities are still going on, that is a big deal.

Time is time is time. I don't have a fee for sex, I have a fee for time. It is a big deal, and even more so if I am on tour and I have an hour of down time scheduled after your time to use to be just as fresh as I was for you for the appointment scheduled next in my day. I may only see two (three at most) people a day, as a matter of personal pride and policy, many ladies see more - but if those appointments for me happen to fall back to back, you are intruding on my personal time I devote to be my best for the next client. I took that same time and care to be ready for you, allow me the courtesy to not take my time away from me and lessen the experience someone else. It is just plain rude.
I'll let you know if I have any time to chat, and if I do, it usually would be only for a few minutes. My clock starts when you enter and stops when you leave - it isn't limited to when we are "indisposed". To assume it isn't a big deal is a mistake. Please don't assume that just because no activity is going on, it isn't a big deal, it is. I sell time for a reason. If I wanted to sell a sex act, I'd work within the confines of a legal brothel.

Jackie is right, time is time period. Why isn't my time as valuable as yours?
Your time starts when you walk in the door no matter what is taking place and your time ends 60 minutes or more later (I say 60 mins because I only offer hour + sessions).
I have no problem chatting afterwards for a few minutes, but how do you know I don't have other plans after our time is up? I could have a doc appt, vet appt (my pets), dentist appt, lunch or dinner plans or just plans in general.
My time no matter what you or others think, is valuable period.
Oh and if you or others are getting away with this with other ladies, you can be guaranteed: 1. She isn't a true professional/smart business woman. 2. She doesn't know how to take care of business. 3. She's probably the type of girl who will get you jammed up (cause you or others problems/lack of discretion/low hanging fruit).

Disagree completely, that's a pretty broad brush....
I'm not as experienced like many of the people here but I've hit it off with providers before and they stay well over their time just to shoot the shit, I don't expect them to charge me extra.
Last time in Vegas an escort stayed 6 hours I believe and I only paid for one. I did tip her (I'm with Burk I tip when it's earned) and we ended up watching a regular movie, not a porn just hanging out.
That said I'm also very respectful of a woman's time, when my hour is up I am sure to let them know and if they want to stay and I have nothing going on, I'm cool with that.

Go ask the waitress at Village Inn her thoughts on tipping, especially if your a difficult customer and demand more than normal service, time, or effort on her part. Apply her answer to your hobby activities. Done talkin'

I remember the waitress serving us had the dirtiest apron I have ever seen on a server. I should have ran right there. I would have rather had 4 NCNS that day than what I got. lol
