So, I took a trip to Thailand. Yep, I did.
Ok, I'll warn you in advance, this is a long post. I feel like Tolstoy. But, I needed something to do on the long flights from Thailand to Pittsburgh.
A long-time friend of mine convinced me to take a trip to Thailand with him. His wife passed away a few years ago and he's retired and traveling the world. He had been there twice before and knew the lay of the land. After a little convincing, I decided to tag along. We spent 15 days there, 4 in Bankok, 6 in Pattaya and 5 in Phuket.
I should say that hooking up with Thai ladies wasn't the top priority of the trip, but for me, it was definitely a high priority. We arrived in Bankok in the early afternoon after some long hours of travel. The main thing on the agenda was to relax, drink and eat, Spent the next few days checking out the sites and enjoying some incredible food. We did hit a couple of the nearby go-go bars (basically strip clubs where you can take any one of the strippers out of the club for however long you want) in the evenings. More on that later. Bankok was interesting, but its really large, very crowded and pretty overwhelming.
Day 4 we took a bus to Pattya City. Bus fare was a whopping 300b (around 8 bucks) and it took a little over 3 hours. Pattaya is a much smaller, laid-back city right on the gulf coast. The first evening we hit the bars. There are a few areas where there are a high concentration of street vendors, bars, clubs, go-gos and restaurants. Anything and everything you can imagine. Its like a cross between Bourbon Street and China Town.
There are single women everywhere you look and most of them are ready to go with you and do whatever you want to do. This was far more obvious than in Bankok. There are girls on the street (freelancers), bar girls, go-go girls and massage parlor girls. All of which are available for an hour or two (short time), overnight (long time) or for several days (extra time). The girls on the street will not really approach you but are very friendly if you approach them. Most speak some English. The girls in the bars and go-gos tend to be a little more forward and will come over to you, ask you to buy them a drink and hang out with you. If you like her, she will be most willing to leave with you once you settle on a fee. In most bars, there are 10-20 girls milling around. In the go-go bars there are a lot more, maybe 20-40. Its a little different in the go-go bars as the girls dont really approach you, but you will be greeted by a mamasan who will chat you up and ask if you are interested in any of the girls. If there is one you like, she will bring her to you and you take if from there.
The last stop was a short flight to Phuket, which is a resort island. While there are less bars and go-gos there, girls are still readily available. At this point we were pretty worn out and opted to spend most of the time chilling at the beach of pools. I may have indulged one more time in the night before last. Then the long-ass journey back home.
Accommodations and prices: The hotel we stayed at in Bankok was a super-nice 5 star luxury hotel. Superb! The nightly rate was 5,200b (about $145). Food and drink were also pretty cheap with a typical dinner for 400-500b ($11-15) and drinks were 80-150b ($2-4). In Pattaya, it was much cheaper. Our ocean-front hotel was 1150b ($32) per night and was quite nice and comfortable. Food was a little cheaper that Bankok, but not much. The street food was amazing and dirt cheap. Phuket was by far the most expensive place with the ocean-front resort hotel being 7,200b ($200) per night but included all meals. Drinks were 150-300b.
The girls and their rates: Now, given what Pittsburgh has to offer, you will be astonished by this. The prices for the girls did not vary much between the three places. More in Bankok and Phukett, and a little less in Pattaya. The way things seemed to work were very consistent. My favorite place to get the girls was from the go-gos. They are the youngest (20-30 years old) and the best looking. And I do mean good looking, especially if your into Asians. The go-go girls were without exception 8s, 9s and 10s. Very good looking with super hot bodies. I found these girls were looking for between 2000-3500b ($55-98) for a couple hours and 5000-6000b ($140-170) for an overnight. The girls in the bars are the next level down. Still not gross by any means, but generally a little older and a little more worn and no longer able to make the cut at the go-gos. Not as hot as the go-go girls but still super hot by Pittsburgh provider standards. The bar girls were generally 500-800b less than the go-go girls. On the streets and massage parlors, you'll find a really wide variety, some really hot, some not so much. They are cheaper still and much more willing to haggle. There is another option that I did not use and that is the online escort services. These feature the best of the best and are considerably more expensive. 3500-5000b for each hour.
In my time there, I spent time with 2 girls in Bankok for 2 hours each, total 7000b ($196), 5 girls in Pattaya, 3 for 2 hours and 2 for overnights, total spend 18,500b ($520) and one in Phuket for an overnight, total spend 6500b ($182). All said, I spent a total of 40 hours BCD with 8 different very hot Thai girls and spent a grand total of $898 USD. I probably paid too much to the girl in Phuket, but she was mind-numbingly hot and banged like a wild rabbit. Add to that total, maybe another $300-400 more that I spent on drinks for the mamasans and the girls and some street food for the girls. They like to eat...A LOT! All in all, it was money well spent.
I'm sure you're wondering what these girls are like BCD and I can tell you they are great. They go out of their way to treat you like a king. They provide a total GFE and dont really know the word no. All in all, I was blown away.
Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.

Yea I have a question. How do I tell my SO I’m going to Thailand?!
Sounds like an awesome trip. I’ve looked at many YouTube videos of what I believe they call “walking street” in Phuket and it definitely looks fun.
I’ve thought a lot of how to pull this off, but women even know why men go to Thailand.
I’ll just have to resort to Thai porn sadly.

Walking Street is like the red-light district in Pattaya, not Phuket. Its totally over the top.
One thing I forgot to mention is that you have to pay a "bar fine" when you take one of the girls out of the bar. Its usually around 500-1500b and it covers the bar's loss from her not being at the bar encouraging patrons to buy drinks. Seems kind of scammy, but it is what it is.

Good luck on not getting points. Last time I mentioned Thailand I got some nice points for my passport.
10/10 it's a great place to be. Better off to save your money if you are in the area for the plane ticket. I have a trip scheduled for early next year. Going to spend 3 days in Bangkok and 2 weeks in Pattaya

If you know how to golf, then you can use golfing as your excuse. Put the club in the trunk and keep it at the airport
Unless you do want to golf. I've heard good things about that in Thailand, but I don't golf

Do you mean over the top in a good or bad way? Just looks like a place to try once.

I do golf but Thailand would be a no-go for SO. I’ve always wondered if I’d get away with just completely lying about what country I went to.
What stig just did is an awesome bucket list memory. Might be worth the risk!

We flew premiim economy on Singapore Airlines. Business class was more than 2x the price and first class was 5x the prem econ price. I don't have a problem with premium economy.
And Walking Street was over the top in a good way. Its one hell of a good time for 6 days but I don't think I could handle much more than that.

Saw a Thai girl from Marshall from SA. Love that brown skin.
Did you run across lady boys Stig? I guess they’re so beautiful there it’s easy to get fooled.

Thanks for the detailed report, Stig!
Thailand is definitely on my list. My only issue is finding the proper amount of time for a trip that far away. Maybe for a 'big' birthday I have coming up in a few years.
Was it easy traveling from place to place within the country? Or would you rate it a pain in the ass? Definitely want to see Pattaya, but I imagine I'd have to fly into Bangkok.

They are definitely around but they are not that difficult to identify. If you're unsure, just ask them and they will tell you. No offese is takes and I'm sure they are not interested in getting beat to hell when they surprise an unsuspecting guy

Definitely not a pain in the ass. There is a bus from Bangkok to Pattaya that depends every 20 minutes or so. Its a comfortable coach, takes a couple hours depending on traffic and its like 8 bucks. Pattaya to Phuket was an hour flight and cost $85.
In Pattaya most thing were easily walkable or you coud take a Baht open air bus for less than a buck pretty much anywhere. You can also rent a motorbike for about $10 a day.
