The World Is Getting a Naked Restaurant — and 6,500 People Are Already on the Waiting List
The World Is Getting a Naked Restaurant — and 6,500 People Are Already on the Waiting List
https://www.yahoo.com/style/world-ge...033501437.html
Are you a fan of the show Dating Naked? Do you wish you could combine that with a pop-up restaurant?
Well, you’re in luck. The Bunyadi, a limited-run restaurant opening in London this June, has you covered.
“Enter a secret Pangea-like world,” the restaurant’s website teases, “free from phones, electric lights and even clothing (optional) and revisit the beginning where everything was fresh, free and unadulterated from the trappings of modern life.” (The clothed and naked sections will be segregated, and a changing room will be provided for those who opt for the latter.)
The restaurant — whose name comes from a Hindu term that means “fundamental, base or natural” — comes to us from the same firm, Lollipop, that recently opened a Breaking Bad-themed cocktail bar called ABQ London.
“We have worked very hard to design a space where everything patrons interact with is bare and naked,” Lollipop founder Seb Lyall told the International Business Times. “The use of natural bamboo partitions and candlelight has enabled to us to make the restaurant discreet, whilst adhering to the ethos behind it. No doubt, this has been the most challenging project for us yet, which makes us very excited about it.”
One thing that’s not entirely clear about the Bunyadi: Its food. Apparently everything’s going to be cooked over a wood fire, in keeping with the established vibes, and both non-vegan and vegan tasting menus will be offered.
But that’s in the way of details. To find out more, you’ll have to add your name to the currently 6,500-plus-strong waiting list on the restaurant’s web site.
Or you could just, like, go camping.

Hope the entire restaurant is private rooms because there are definitely a lot of people you don't want to see naked as you're trying to eat.
