Difference between Nuru and Tantra massage?

What’s the difference? I’ve seen ads for places that offer Tantra massage. They are more expensive than AMPs

I tried tantra once and it was just silly. Pushed me to make silly yelling sounds before finally performing an almost useless BJ. Nuru has contact and is more about mutual pleasure than just making you feel like an idiot. For me not even close comparision.

A body massage that involves massaging the erogenous zones like the genitals, breasts, anus, mouth etc. with an orgasm at the end. Both awesome & mediocre sexual massages can be defined as tantric massages. Tantric massage has elements of yoga incorporated into it which again makes sense because yoga is from India.

The Nuru massage from Japan on the other hand is a very specific body to body glide and the description is given above. Since the Nuru massage is a sexual massage, it can also be considered a tantric massage.

Although one definition of tantric massage is any sort of sexual massage, I'm sure there must be a tantric massage manual created in Berlin back in 1977. Unfortunately, there's no way of knowing how many tantric massage providers are legit and have actually studied the Berlin manual. After all, any lady can say she provides a tantric massage as a way of attracting business and income.

So if you have a lackluster tantric or nuru massage session, don't be so quick to put down tantric massage and nuru massage. You could have just been with an untrained lady who's just trying to make a quick buck.

Nuru makes no pretense about being an erotic activity. As others have said it is full on B2B and usually on a mat using a special body gel.

Tantra on the other hand is an erotic activity that markets itself as a more spiritual affair. If you enjoy edging it can be fun, but you will be cleansed with incense, weird noises will be made, the 'priestess' or 'goddess' may even shout or hum into your body, chakras will be activated and you'll be encouraged to delay or even completely avoid ejaculation to retain your 'life force'. Some practitioners and clients genuinely believe in it and go to dedicated seminars and retreats, but others just slap the name on what is otherwise normal FBSM to add a veneer of legitimacy and charge more for the session.

They are definitely very different things.

Hmmm, I really appreciate the info in this thread as I didn't know very much about these forms of massage at all. And since I don't really offer massage, I haven't researched it. I did have one Asian client who never "finished" in the cover, but he DID finish internally. I could tell by his body language, and he confirmed it. He said he had been studying that if you keep your "life force" inside, you'll be a stronger, sexier man. I found it a little strange, and frankly I enjoy the visual of a "normal" finish.

But no massage or weird sounds, he was just self taught from books and online reading.

I heard a long time ago that tantric massage could take hours, a session can last as long as the main practitioner wants it to. 2-48 hrs or more. Just breaks for fluids. But supposedly when the finish happens, it's supposed to be incredibly intense and bring the two lovers closer together and bonded. I'm much too impatient for that. When I want some, I want it, and I don't want to spend 2 hours staring into someone's eyes and taking it slow.

But Nuru, I think I've done that accidentally. I had one client who loved the idea of rolling around in olive oil. I said no at first, because I lived and worked in the same place. He had plenty of big long plastic wrap type covers from Home Depot, but of course oil would wind up on my bed and carpet and my bathroom and shower would take forever to clean up after we had finished.

So we hopped on his plane and flew off to Galveston for the weekend, and a few hours later had covered one of the beds up with plastic and emptied a bottle of warmed up Extra Virgin olive oil on the plastic, after a hot shower. Then slid onto the bed and took turns dripping another big bottle of warm olive oil all over each other. I did look it up, and apparently it's all natural, and is good for the skin and the hair, and even safe to use as a lube, occasionally. I'm not sure what the Japanese used, or even what a Japanese lotion or lube would be. The olive oil worked well for us. Just change his cover frequently, to avoid getting too much oil internally and to prevent the cover from slipping off.

I was pretty skeptical about all of this, but I was so surprised how good that warm oil felt on our warm, nude bodies! We slipped and slid around for over an hour, got up once for fluids and to warm up another bottle of oil, and rolled around for another hour or so. The B2B felt amazing! No worries over hair, making a mess, and the freedom of having no clothes in the way. Rubbing and massaging and playing with each other everywhere. We both loved it. And at the beach, the oil protected us from the scratchy sand! We played in the surf and it just washed off our soft skin.

A hotel was definitely a good idea. At home; no. We just left the 2nd bed like that and requested no housekeeping for the two nights we were there. And slept in the other bed. Then just scooped up all the plastic and olive oil bottles and threw them in the trash, as we left. And left a nice tip for the housekeeping ladies! At the end of the weekend, my hair and skin were nicely conditioned and very soft. Bonus! But be sure to bring lots of extra soap and shampoo and order extra towels as soon as you arrive to your room. They get oily quickly.

Since then, we've done that a few other times, either at local hotels or out of town. I'll have to do more research on the exact definition, but maybe I'm a Nuru provider and didn't know it, lol! But I would never go to a hotel or out of town with someone I hadn't seen for many sessions and know well. And I do prefer staying home to entertain, and many men can't just scoop me up and fly me to a hotel on a whim. Or just drive us to a local hotel, that's fine too, and pay for the hotel, because I don't do that. You want a messy session, you're responsible for finding a place to accomplish this, outside of my home, lol!

Nuru usually uses something like seaweed gelatin oil but grapeseed oil also works really well and is easier to clean than most other oils.
