They fucked up when they blew that 6-2 lead in the top of the 8th in Monday's game. I knew from that point on the momentum had shifted when it got back to KC. And when ol' boy hit that 3-rum homer in the bottom of the 8th last night that was the end of the Astros season right there.
Great season regardless Astros!

Had the Rangers not run down the 'Stros late in the season and the matchups been reversed (ie: Houston vs Toronto.....Texas vs Kansas City) things may have still played out the same. When you get down to it, the Royals and Jays are both pretty damned good teams. And one of these teams is gonna be a handful for either National team that makes it to the WS.
All in all, great season for both Texas-based squads. I hope next year we both do what's necessary to keep the Angels, A's and Mariners at home once again for the playoffs.
