Favorite thanksgiving food?
Happy turkey day people.
What's is your favorite thanksgiving appetizer, dish, side dish or desert? For me it has to be homemade stuffing! The boxed stuff just does not cut it.
Hope you all get to spend some time with loved ones, and for Pete's sake don't talk politics at the table, what do you think it is - the sandbox?

My mother used to make creamed onions. Goddam were they good.
Also using the carcass made a turkey soup. That was oralgasmic

I don't think I ever had creamed onions, sounds interesting.

Just the basics! Mashed potatoes, sausage stuffing(try it), turkey and gravy. Then a nap while football is on.

Dude I gotta ask and I mean no disrespect, are you really Australian? I know several people from Melbourne And Sidney and none of them lay it on nearly as thick as you do, online or in person, even after a few beers.
I am thankful you find joy in it either way, to stay on theme.

Like most have said. The turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy.
My mother would make homemade stuffing and a unbelievably delicious broccoli casserole. She’s passed.
We have cranberry once a year, the one that comes in a can you have to slice.
Also once a year at Thanksgiving, sweet potatoes with a brown sugar sauce.

... Answer WAS given to Zippy, mate... You just didn't see it.
(I don't want to change the thread)
... I surely have creamed onions sometimes.
With potato crisps... Something called French onion dip.
But what kind o' pie for you lads? Pumpkin or Apple??

Happy Thanksgiving guys and gals. Turkey, Ham, corn, applesauce, and apple pie. Then a trip to Sky for the real dessert.

I'm mainly there for the turkey, gravy and mashed potatoes. A piece of pumpkin pie after the meal is glorious.
