Crunch #4: Ages

...wrapping up the number crunch from last week's 100 recent Eccie Reviews (Encounter Reports).

Crunches 1-3 were about Advertising sites and Geography...this one shows the results from the Age field on the Reviews.

I used the provided age, except for when a value like "20s, 30s, etc" was provided, I used the middle value of 25, 35, etc for the crunch.

1. Overall: The average D/FW Provider age is: 34.2 years

2. Dallas = 34.7 and FW = 32.9

3. The youngest areas are Frisco, Galleria and Denton at 25 years

4. Richardson has the highest value for one very (famous) reason.

5. Central Dallas comes in at 38, with N. Dallas running a younger 32

6. As for the top 4 sites: OH=32, RR=34, Eccie=37, P411=29

7. OH2 runs younger in Dallas=30 vs FW=35...with opposite for Eccie: Dallas=38, FW=33

PS: I was asked for some OH2 Review Data...that is tough one. They are separate forums...and the number of Reviews in Dallas far outweigh the FW side.

Since the first of this year, Dallas has 856 Reviews to Fort Worth's 101.

Any other suggestions for a future number crunch?

Ironic that ECCIE has the highest age average, considering how so many guys here complain about low-balling that Stat.

Next idea?

How about a ratio of active Troll/multi-handles vs. ''Real'' contributing handles on ECCIE?

I bet the Trolls exceed 50%

No way to quantify Trolls...but perhaps a look at how truly Co-Ed is verses a platform for handful of blow-hards. That be fairly easy. Take 100 discussions and count who contributes.

Let's start a fund that will reward reviewers who include the rate - maybe something like a chance to win a session that we buy as a group.

I miss the mandatory fee field and can't understand why so few put it in the ROS.

I wish I would have taken a stab at predicting this. I would have at least gotten the findings regarding lower ages among most of the N Dallas areas you referenced.

I’m quite happy seeing ladies in their 30s or older, so this is one trend that I’m ok with!
