Default fyi-Gander Mtn. store in Mesquite

Just stopped in last night to pick up some boot laces and look around. Talk about stocking firearms! Looks like they want to make a run at all the local retailers. Thought I browse their side arms, can't recall seeing so many in one place other than a gun show. And behind the glass cases was a long wall of rifles. Prices probably the same compared to the gun stores I assume, I didn't price compare, just looked.

all the major players, even Kimber, and then some of the lessor brands. I'm nut a gun nut but I was impressed with their stock. I assume the same for the rifles.

Cool I may go check it out this Saturday. I'm no gun nut either, but I'm looking for very specific things to add to my collection. I wondered about this store when I passed it last weekend... Now I know I need to go inside.

I got a flyer in the mail thursday showing at least they had 45acp so probably had others. You should try their website I'm sure they'll show the sales there.

ALSO, gun show at Big Town this weekend, was coming back to work at lunch and saw the trucks and trailers, and a sign out on Big Town Blvd.

A couple of weeks ago they had a ton of 9mm (brass) for about $14 per 50 rounds but you had to buy a 350 round box. Bought some and went back for more the next day and it was gone. Lewisville Store.

Lewisville store has an enormous selection of firearms. I like the way they have them displayed by alphabetical order.
Ammo is in stock although I found it to be a few bucks higher than Academy. Walmart in Decatur and Walmart in Addison had a good supply of 40 ammo yesterday.

I noticed Academy's Sunday newspaper ad advertised .40 and .45 ammo...first time they've done that in months. So maybe the supplies are building back up... ?

They have to advertise, at least in Mesquite, Gander Mtn's new store is 200yds away from Academy. looks like we'll have a bit of a price war going on maybe thru hunting season?

Gander usually has a real good selection of firearms and are pretty competive on pricing. Most of the other stuff is generally higher. I only get stuff at Gander when it is on sale. now with Academy being so close that might change some. Gander sometimes has the hard to get items that Academy does not carry but Cabelas does. BassPro has been higher on Guns and Ammo as compared to Academy and Cabelas.
