LE checking out Dallas apartment complexes?
I'd hate to be the guy causing unnecessary worry about the hobby by starting baseless rumors, but I gotta share something. I saw a provider recently that said "LE was in the rental office showing pictures of women from p411 etc and asking them if any of the ladies lived on premises." This provider worked out of a nice N. Dallas apartment complex and while I don't know her well, I have no reason to doubt her either. She has a friend that works in the rental office and the friend answered the LE officer's question with, "No they don't look familiar."
Anyone heard something similar? Anyone have first hand information on this? If so, I may give preference to ladies in motels/hotels for the time being.
Thanks

That whole scenario seems implausible and improbable. Her story sounds convoluted. If you have someone's contact info, it makes no sense to canvass random apartment complexes trying to catch a needle in a haystack. Some apartment complexes have over 1000 people, I HIGHLY doubt the police would question someone in the leasing office about someone they probably haven't seen since they moved in. Even knowing the address doesn't accomplish much.
I think she was telling you a tall tale. You've got to think these things through.

no bueno. i prefer an apartment setting but this signals something ominous. hotels seem to be less secure so that leaves only outcall for those of us that are really risk averse.

Doubtful scenario. How many apartment complexes are there in the dallas area?Thousands I would guess. The DPD does not have the man power to take random photos from complex to complex asking if they recognize ladies from p411.Even if they did this would not be proof of any kind that she is using said apartment for that business. It would leave the police department wide open to civil lawsuits for defamation of character,etc.,etc..It could be possible the cops were looking for a particular provider on other charges and were showing her pics .All just speculation and innuendo at this point though.

This is a VERY plausible scenario when you have providers flocking to the same complex.
Think what would happen if only one escort is in a building. Most likely no one will notice the single men going in and out. BUT look at a complex with 15-20 escorts.
Those of us in the hobby may not think so, but the increased traffic of men in and out of the parking lot or garage can and does raise eyebrows. Many apartments now have cameras for security and roll tape 24/7 and although they may not sit in front of the screen all day long, all it takes is for the radar to go off once and WHAM, you have someone looking closer.
Many escorts are pretty good about traffic but how about when an incall is shared? 3 girls sharing a place will generate a lot of guys in and out.
The biggest reason VICE would be in a complex is because of a complaint. Noise, traffic, or maybe a nosy neighbor.

Whether plausible or not, this is the reason I get hobby apartments in complexes with no office. I go through individuals that own a condo in a complex and rent it out. In my opinion it is the best way to stay under the radar a bit when there are no apartment people on site getting in your business.
It is also easier to get approved to rent because individuals are a bit more lenient and you can better sweet talk your way around "forgeting" to bring in a copy of your check stubs and stuff like that.
Ladies, feel free to pm me if you need help finding where to look for places like this.

It IS totally possible.
It's one of the reasons I turned down an apartment/incall that I put hundreds of dollars on, to save. Once I found out there were 20 providers renting from this guy (in a gated complex), I figured it would be best to look elsewhere.
Without knowing all the circumstances, it's hard to determine if it's fact or fiction. But I would not say that LE is out checking apartment complexes. They are way too busy for that. Sounds like more of an individual property issue.

I believe it's totally plausible. Lots of girls have incalls that are in full view of everyone and all it takes is for someone to call Crime-Stoppers with a tip. I just don't like doing incall's for that reason. I stayed at the Omni Hotel this weekend and as big as it is, I felt like I was being watched because there was so much staff there and you could tell they were watching people.

I run a company that manages apartment complexes - you'd be surprised how easily it is to get to know your residents. Competent staff WILL recognize you, even though you might think the place is too big for them to keep track of everyone. If true, having 20 providers in one place is a very bad idea. I could see police building a case, then arresting all 20 providers, and then start offering plea bargain deals until someone starts turning on the others. Time to go find a new complex.

Regardless it is better to be cautious than sorry in the long run. It wouldn't surprise me.
I wonder this on outcalls for hotels, if one books at same hotel repeatedly locally, what questions are raised and other activities being monitored.

I saw a girl recently that lived in one of the upscale apartments by the galleria that has security and video system that you have to use to be buzzed in. During the appointment the provider mentioned that several girls on eccie live there and the leasing agent used to be a escort herself. This place only has one entrance so the chances of seeing the same people everyday is raised greatly. All it would take is a couple of complaints before vice took a trip to that complex and started casing the joint.

I am 99% sure there are at least two providers that either live and/or have an incall at the apartment complex where I live.
Believe me, neighbors are nosy and if the police have a few complaints at one complex, they will investigate so this story is plausible.

This is very true. It's not that the employees necesarily want to get into your business, but just like providers know their clients, the apartment staff knows their residents. If you work out of an apartment complex, be assured that someone is always seeing what goes on. Many times the staff finds out lots of things from other tennants. I worked in a complex that had a provider living and working there. (I wasn't in the hobby at the time.) She was black and I started finding it strange that I would see older white men coming and going from her apartment. She kept a low profile and I never said anything to anyone. Later I became friends with her and she confirmed it. LE might try to stir up something for many reasons. Who knows? Depending on the apartment complex, the office may try to be protective of you to a certain extent. If you work out of an apartment, the best thing you can do is not call attention to yourselves. Also, don't walk around the complex dressed sexy letting everyone see your assets. That's calling attention to yourself.
