HEEELLLPPPPP me save the turtles! Yup kids, I'm begging for donations. Donations thread.
Hi there,
I will be taking time off next month to go to Costa Rica for a sea turtle campaign. I wont have internet, cell service or running hot water for 2 weeks and I can't wait!
It's been a life long dream to be able to join conservations campaign during the summer and I'm finally going to make it happen.
But wow, boy are they expensive!
Down below is a list of gear I need and if anyone wants to help a passionate conservationist achieve my dream, I would TRULY appreciate it.
If you do decide to donate the following gear, just choose the site to store options or you can e-mail me a online walmart gift card (email me for email addy)
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Frogg-Togg...Black/38252159 (size medium and in black! site to store)
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Frogg-Togg...Black/38252077 (size medium and it black. Site to store)
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Generic-20...dlamp/29295368 (site to store)
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Duracell-4...eries/26120756 (needs a online gift card)
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Everest-Sp...kpack/37995513 (light blue needs online gift card)
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Cutter-Alo...Fl-Oz/15136592 (needs a online gift card)
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Trademark-...mmock/34394876 (needs a online gift card)
http://www.walmart.com/search/search...t&_tt=mosquito (any mosquito net that is site to store).
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Coleman-2V7WP-BL/31313777 (to document the poachers site to store)
Candy, stickers, very small toys (for the local children) and used DVD's for the volunteers will be greatly appreciated.
Please note, all donations will be used for all future campaigns as well.
This is for a wonderful cause and thank you for reading this.
Stay blessed,
Kayleehotchick

here comes the backlash but can you afford a volunteer trip and 2 week expenses? I may post for my grandkids back to school funds or a trip to Bahamas
Heard of several ladies hurting right now they said when I saw them, could you return the favor to them with help for food

Yes...it was awesome how people joined together and helped me out with 450 dollars. I was sick for 20 days that month and it was a very difficult month. 2 of them where awesome providers that said I didn't need to pay them back. The other 2 were hobbyist, whom one I honored the agreed terms and the other, I will be seeing soon. :-)
Eccie is a wonderful place.
My trip is funded by company sponsorships for interns and volunteers other wise I wouldn't be able to afford to go. I will be living in a shack, shitting in a outhouse and taking cold showers. I hardly call that a pleasure trip.
I don't see myself working as a provider the rest of my life and working in marine life conservation is area I see myself working so excuse me for having life and career goals.
I've help many providers in the past, from rides, to money and I would do it again. I've even so much as paid for a hotel so a provider can have a place to stay. Not to mention the money I donated and helped raise to help cover the funeral cost when a provider was killed a few years ago. So just because I don't get on here and announce it doesn't mean I haven't or wont help others.
Either way, I will achieve my goals one way or another.
But thank you anyway.
:-)

You're in the right place to get all of your needs met but wouldn't you think bartering/trades would get your list completed quicker - considering your audience.

Is there a website we can directly send donations or does one just provide you with supplies?
