Pensacola Intel Please!

Hello and hope all are well. I am sure this has been asked before but I could not find any updated information: We are planning a trip to Pensacola very soon and would appreciate any information of safe areas, hotels etc. This is not our first visit there but with 2020 effecting so much I am sure some things have changed. I’m not sure when the last time you were here...

During Hurricane Sally, the Three Mile Bridge between Gulf Breeze and Pensacola (Highway 98) was taken out by a barge.

All completion estimates have pushed right.

It used to take me an hour to get to Pensacola from Fort Walton via Highway 98. Now, it takes me at least an hour and a half.

For hotels, stay either in the Historical Area or by the Airport near Cordova Mall on 9th Avenue.

If you remember the area near Rodrizio Grill, McGuire’s, etc, that’s area is fairly empty because the bridge was taken out.

I’m sure people would still see you and Kat, but if you do decide to come. You two post about your visits well in advance.

Mod is right. Don’t stay in Gulf Breeze and expect anyone from Pensacola to pop over. It is about an hour drive instead of 10 minutes. A recent traveler made that mistake.
