Need Some Advice On Weather And Traveling Please

Hey MN Gents and Ladies,
Hope all is having FUN and doing well!! I am looking at visiting MN in April and was thinking the first week. Then I was talking to a client here in Dallas that is from MN and he mentioned that the first week of April wouldn't be a good time. I have never been to MN,but have been asked to visit. So I am finally going to take the chance and check you guys out. Well that is if you will have me.
So because I have no idea how the weather gets that away, when is the best time to travel that away? I would be driving so that is very important. I don't drive when there is ice and never driven in the snow other than leaving IA and ended up totaling my car hitting black ice. So it has to be a good day to drive. Plus I don't want ya'll to get stuck and not be able to come out and play.
Any info is greatly appreciated!! And as soon as I know I will start sending teasing pics and posting.

I am sure I can speak for my fellow hobbyists and say we would love to entertain you in the Twin Cities!

You should be safe in April. We get wet snows in March, but not usually in April. Even at f it did snow, it would likely melt as soon as it hit the ground.

This climate data shows that the average high for April in Minneapolis is 58 degrees and the average low is 37 degrees.

So, it is jacket weather, but not coat weather. Of course, the middle and end of April will be nicer than early April.
