Ron DeDantis is going to face off against Gaven Newsom in a one on one debate this evening.

Is he making a huge blunder?

I think so. Regardless of how things go, tomorrow’s headlines will be……”Newsom Wins hands down.”

Why? The Democrats are wanting Biden to bow out. The only politician that can possibly replace Biden on the Ticket is Newsom. If he comes out looking good, Biden is toast.

This is a win win for the Democrats. Since Newsom is young, they can still keep Harris as VP, keeping the black female vote and avoiding any racial strife.

I cannot believe DeDantis is doing this. He has nothing to gain.

Regardless of what you think of Newsom’s policies, he is a very astute polititian.

He will come across as a charismatic, articulate, handsome choice.

DeSantis will be the deer in the headlights.

DeSantis has everything to gain and nothing to lose. as it stands now he's mired at the bottom of a wide field all lagging Trump by a mile. he's Chris Christie without being fat. lol.

I did not watch it but DeSantis was fading with Haley coming on strong so he probably felt like he had to do something to revive his candidacy.

Another option for Democrats would be Gov. Whitmer of Michigan. She won reelection in 2022 by over 10 points. Her nomination would ensure Michigan goes Democratic in 2024. removing one state from Trump's need list. She would also energize the female vote in her favor. Just a thought.

DeSantis exposed Newsom as the talking points spouting Demagogue that he is.
