Screening Tools - Do's and Don'ts

Hello Everyone! I have been learning how to screen and am wondering what tools are out there OTHER than P411. I know some girls use DateCheck but is it really popular? Do you guys use it? Which services do you guys like to use?

Why do guys Refuse to give references or get mad at the provider screening when their reference doesn't vouch for them? Girls have you run into this alot?

Why do ladies NOT respond or give references to other ladies? Is it a click thing like in High School or Safety Concerns? One lady said it was because I was too new........I have reviews now so she gives references. There are still some of the girls who won't answer. I'm just wondering why?

Any advice and suggestions from the guys and girls would be great! I'm just trying to learn how to be better at my job! Thanks!

This one is too easy ... it's because of the company you keep.

Your manager is blackballed in this industry. I don't know a provider who wants anything to do with her or her girls ... AKA ... you.

I SOLD the CO-OP and am in another country. She is on her own...Nice try though....Wild you will try anything to cock block. Let them be. I have a day job out of the country. She asked for advice not your poison. Your so jealous. The clients will see they are indy. I would say join date check and screen as you have been. Your doing OK right?

For being "blacklisted" I did a hell of alot better than you. I'm 100% out.

I used to have a provider (in Honolulu) who absolutely refused to give references. She hid behind confidentiality (even after I gave her permission), and told me that she didnt want her business to go elsewhere.....WTF??

You would think providers would give ref's since hobbist are not exavtly loyal to their wives much less providers. Men like variety. I just don't get that. When I was doing screening I ran into the same thing. I must give honorable mention to the one that did. Olivia Howard, This is a classy lady who knows how to run a business.

We should list the ones that don't and just gave attitude when I was doing it. I know some don't to anyone siting the same reason mentioned.

Anyway if you can help her as I can no longer please do.

Datecheck is good and usefull, but is far behind the usage that P411 gets in this area (kinda like this SHMB does vs others in the region) Doesn't mean its not very good, just means its not used as much.......

For whatever reason the provider reference has been an issue here in Houston in the past. I know of several providers that I saw regularly (some who lived in Houston some who visited frequently) who were very upset and letdown by the amount of support from other providers in the screening department. Mostly that they never returned phonecalls nor emails. I can't for the life of me understand why that is. You would think that you would all be playing on the same side for the greater good of PROTECTING each other..... but some are just catty I guess.......

But screening is as much of a MUST for Providers as Discression is for the Hobbyist........ There are still people out there who are more than willing to help...... hopefully more will follow their example.......

Lana, I do give references. In addition, you can utilize providerbuzz.com Dangerzone.net National Black List, P411.com. There are tons of ways to screen. Utilizing the Intelllus, and reverse phone look ups, there are tons of these sites online. Good luck!

The only acceptable way is p411. There is no substitute available. Lana should learn to screen for herself. I don't imagine that I am the only hobbyiest that will not even consider seeing a provider who has any apparent management.

I am the management. I am screening for myself and I am asking everyone for their advice. Thank you to everyone who has been helpful. I have been screening without P411 and other people are giving me good advice. One girl said she still uses other tools like the ones Guilty Pleasures talked about with P411 because she wants to be extra safe. I'm just trying to be safe.

referencing is THE hardest part of this job...but THE most important!

{I also have a hard time getting reference checks back...I even emailed & called numerous times....so if I dont get a ref back,I try different methods..if that does not work,I pass......
I have lost lots of good potential clients cause of this

Just try to screen best as you can...and always always always go with your "gut feeling"

P411 should be all you need as an indy, I'd imagine. If I was an indy provider I'd probably do all of my screening exclusively through p411. It makes everything so simple and it's run by very competent people.
