Most inconsequential question ever, but I gotta know...
Ok I know this is stupid, but how do you pronounce "ECCIE?"
Whenever I see the word (and I'm seeing it a lot lately, lol) I never know how to pronounce it in my head. I think I've settled on "X-E" (exxy? whatever), but how are you SUPPOSED to say it?
This is totally dumb and I admit I'm procrastinating b/c I have work to do and I don't feel like doing it, but for real, this question has been nagging at me for a few weeks now, haha.

When I first found ECCIE, I used to pronounce it EE-CEE. But anyone I ever spoke to called it EKK-E..... Would be nice to get the OFFICIAL word!

ECCIE Mission Statement
Welcome to ECCIE.
We're glad you found us. Yes, another alternative here and we truly hope our idea catches on. This is a public board, and for the time being, completely free to join.
ECCIE, pronounced 'ECK-ee', wishes to give you, the hobbyist and provider community, a freely accessible, easy-to-use platform to exchange information and share your thoughts and ideas.
|
A simple reminder of how to pronounce the board name is that it rhymes with one of the board owners names - BECKY.

I'm reminded of an old George Carlin routine:
"Your name could be spelled 'S-m-i-t-h', and you could pronounce it 'Janofsky' if you really wanted to.
'What's your name?'
'Janofsky.'
'How's it spelled?'
'S-m-i-t-h.'
'Wha?'
'They're all silent and never mind...'"
Cheers,
bcg
