BP:will we ever learn?

I have never seen anyone on BP. But just a random sampling illuminates heartbreak, disappointment, and zero ROI. So why do hobbyists keep trying to prove otherwise? You do, in fact, get what you pay for, variety is not the spice of life(a couple of regular providers are fine), and danger and BP seem to have a direct correlation.

I got three simple answers for you.

1. Variety
2. Price
3. Fresh faces

I haven't seen anyone on backpage in some time but when I used to I would just cross reference them with review sites and only see the ones who had good reviews. There are diamonds in every ruff. Today I was paroozing through back page and saw a few of our own providers on there (which there usually are) along with many, many nice looking ladies. Unfortunately most are fake pics.

It's like shooting craps. You know the odds aren't in your favor but you still want to roll the dice.

Surprisingly enough, outside of Texas BP works well. It doesn't take long to get familiar with the BS ads and pictures. They repeat themselves in many cities.You can get to a point where you can cruise through and spot potential winners in no time. But even then the chance is always there you can have your time wasted or NSNC. Thats just part of the hobby game. Always will be.

I've had 90% success. BUT, as with most of life, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. If you do find a good provider, make sure they know about ECCIE.

I personally have had some of my best Provider experiences from Backpage. I have met some really really stand up guys from Backpage. They have been truly some of the most generous and caring men that I've ever met..period! I've seen Hobbyist and Providers complain about how horrible it is. Maybe I've just been lucky to have not been robbed or physically threatened...
I have had to deal with bullshit from Backpage, but no more than what I've had to put up with from the very rare Eccie asshole. And yes, there are some asshole men on Eccie.
Unfortunately, everyone is going to have low down grimy people who are always ready and willing to take advantage of everyone else no matter what...
There is just a very hypocritical attitude being expressed about Backpage from both sides that is bullshit.

My biggest concern with places like BP or in the old days CL/Chronicle would be Pimps and LE. It doesn't seem to have changed much judging from posts.

Perhaps the odds are better for providers on BP than for mongers.
Let's assume 75% of BP guys are just good ole horny mongers vs 25% LE and creeps.

However only 25% of BP providers seem to be legit with 10% of them being diamond in the rough material. The remaining 75% are bogus ads/scams, pimps and LE stings.

Of course these percentages aren't based upon any research or facts but you get the general idea of this based upon alerts and posts.

It's a far better crap shoot for the ladies especially if they require P411 from all new clients. The poor mongers don't have any such screening protection aside from lots of diligent research which any newbie would be clueless about.

I see BP as Wal Mart shopping...good price, questionable quality, unknown where product is made/if it will stand up to repeated washings/etc.

Eccie is quiet a bit better in most regards for assuring the MONGER experience.

Doesnt seem like some girls even care who it is. I mean, how much screening can you homestly do through a backpage contact?

Excellent points. I might even put that higher then 75% if you consider getting what you paid for and being 100% satisfied with looks and services. For us guys reviews is our way of screening and very, very few of the bp ladies have reviews so it is like flying blind. If the pics are accurate most times the services aren't and rarely do you find a gfe provider on bp.

How do you figure some girls don't care who it is?

Just wondering how these generalizations came about for you. I have been advertising on BP regularly for may years now, so I am by default wrongfully included with these generalizations. There are dangers and frustrations to weed out with any endeavor in life. That wont stop some from expanding their potential, especially from a business standpoint.

I wont give away all of my alternative screening methods but trust me, I'm not going to see every one that calls. I don't even think that is physically possible. So yes there are diamonds in the rough on BP and plenty of great men to meet...... as everywhere else in this ever dangerous/illusive life.

But don't take my word for it.

How do I figure?

Its pretty easy to see EJ. If you personally are not a part of the generalizaton I made, then happily take no offense. BP is out there for everyone, anyone. All you have to do is have a phone. Girls take calls based on a phone call...please don't tell me its otherwise.

And if your screening process for BP contacts is thorough, please share it...perhaps you can change my mind? Either publicly tell me here or privately in an IM. If I agree that your screening makes me think BP is everybit as carefully screened as you can do from a valid poster with reviews/tenure/reputation here on eccie, I'll state that fact without sharing a shred of what you tell me.

Some experience...the worst hobbying experience of my life was BP. And if you could see the 10-1 bad reviews for BP girls here, you would be amazed at the crap that is out there.

That would fall in that 25% of providers that do what they say and look how they look. I think we are talking about the other 75% + on back page. Those are pretty tough odds.
