You're not wrong, but I'm still kinda new to the scene and was tipping $40 or so before, when I was just leaving and finishing at home. Part of why I joined here is to get a better feel for what's reasonable for tips.

Exactly. 20 bucks is a great tip for a great massage. Ignore the schmoe's telling you to tip 150 bucks for a handy or other ridiculous nonsense. 60 for L1, maybe 80 if they get naked and let you touch all over. Nothing for self service.
