I was thinking the other day about some of the stuff I have done in times past, most I really didn't have a real good buddy to share them with. I'm really not sure if some of the stuff needs to be known anyway. But a true buddy is one that you know will be there regardless of how brainless and dumbassed it imay be.
You Know Are A Good Buddy When.....you are in a board meeting and you get a text message from your buddy that reads......
"Dude, i'm in this chicks closet butt assed naked cause her husband just came home. My ass is dead! I just wanted some one to know what happened!"
OR
A voicemail on my office phone which I receive at 7:00 a.m. the next morning........
You have one new message, received at 4:02 am Wednesday July 2010
"E, man i just wanted to call you in case something happens to me, i'm meeting these 18 y/o twin freaks at the park in Pasadena. I heard of a scam some girls have been meeting business men and robbing them at gunpoint. Man they are fine as hell from their pics, so I have to see for myself. If anything happens to me, i just wanted to make sure someone knew what happened."......beeppppp ....message end.

Not so much a story but the bond of friends for years that runs deep. My buddies I've known since high school and I gathered at our favorite watering hole this weekend to lament and wish a farewell as one of our "clique" is moving to Atlanta. We've been ina and out of each others lives since graduation. That's life. Some I've hung out with quite a lot recently and some I've not seen in at least 2 years.
With all its as if we were just as close as ever.
I recently revealed my activities here. Yes, all my activities. Some raised eyebrows but not one pointed a finger. Not one vacated the little corner of the pub we laid claim to.
All just as accepting and understanding as before.
Not sure how the subject came up but fuck, beer can sure get a tongue waggin'.
Nonetheless the bond between me and mine just as strong as ever.
Fuckin' A I'm going to miss the one that's movin away.
