Okay, I'm sorry if this comes across wrong but some of us enjoy Chicago style pizza and Italian beef sandwiches. Also a good Chicago style hot dog is good as well. Any recommendations in the Dallas area ? My choice on the thin crust is Chicago's Finest in Plano, but a little bit pricey.

you can get a good Chicago dog at Wild About Harry's in Dallas. They use the real sport peppers and Vienna beef dogs. The only Chicago style pizza I have seen around here is the one you mentioned in Plano.

I thought, according to the "history of pizza" on ??? thin crust was New York style pizza and Chicago was thick crust

and thank you, I have been racking my mind on the 4 people who where over 50 when they found success
1. Col Sanders enough said he just moved his resturant to a location by a major highway
2. Ray Crock sold malt machines in a dieing business but noticed in Southern CA an increasing sales
3. Marriott a Morman send to Baltimore for his mission and noticed how well root beer sold there
4. Pizza Hut first franchise pizza chain, started in Wichita KS, was next to a bar and just opened a window between the bar and Pizza Hut

Actually, I like both Chicago thin crust and stuffed pizza, I think Chicago style thin crust is a different kind of pie than a New York style thin crust.

Also Weinberger's deli in Grapevine has a very good Italian Beef sandwich.

There is a new pizza place off of beltline that just opened. I believe it is called Chicago style pizza. I have been there and it is great.

don't know about the pizza but for a good italian sandwich, try one at Jimmy's Food Store.

as I have said before, the best Pizza I have ever had is Pizza Villa, Beltline & Central in Richardson, SE corner, cash only, no delivery, opened in 1957

Also for those of you that never tried an Italian Beef, you really need to give it a try. I always ask to have mine dipped, it tends to be a bit messy but it is well worth it. Also depending on your taste you can ask them to add sweet pepper's or if you like spicy you have to try the hot giardiniera.

The best pizza in Dallas is the ones I have frozen here at home that I carried with me from my last visit home!

Batman,

My favorite stuffed in Chicago was always Gino's east. In the suburbs I always liked the mom and pop places for a good thin crust and a good beef sandwich. Portillo's always had some good dogs and beef sandwiches. Also Homerun inn, Aurelio's,Traverso's and Foxs had some good food. Sorry, I could go on and on.

There is always Rosati's. They are located in Allen, Frisco, and Mckinney. They have a decent Chicago style pizza.

Stop it your killin' me!!!! Also a Chicagoan here, if you can do it the Taste of Chicago is at the end of June, you can load up there, if you fly to Midway there a Giordano's on the corner of 63rd & Cicero now just to let ya know, and why no "BEARS" in your handle?????
