Default Providers showing their face

I see more and more providers are showing their face in pics. May I ask, are not you afraid of one of your family members seeing you? Probably, if I was a female provider the only time I'd show my face in pics is if i"m out of the country and had no family where im provider services.

Personally, As I started in the industry, I can honestly say this has been more of a positive in my life than a negative. I am not ashamed of what I do for a living.
I am independent, financially stable, and do not drink or do drugs.
I have learned many skills that apply to everyday life and actually have learned a lot from those I meet day to day. My communication skills has improved so much, and I am no longer that "Shy" girl. As to answer your question.. My family knows me like an open book. I am blessed to only surround myself with those who know the real me and still love me for who I am It's not like they jump for joy, but I am still the same person, if not better. So as long as I am who I am it does not matter.
Showing my face is not a big deal to me Smile for the camera!

For me, not showing my face has nothing to do with family. It has everything to do with the internet being permanent and I don't plan on being in this business forever. Kiss of death in a nice professional job is letting it be found that you were once a hooker.

Amen. A lady may think it won't come back and bite her, but it can if she ever wants her life to take a different direction. Why foreclose the option for short term gain?

It's hard to imagine Melannie as being a 'shy' provider. When she says there's no 'shame in her game' then she's SPOT ON!
It's ALWAYS a providers choice as to whether she exposes her true identity or not. I respect that not all providers are as fortunate to have friends and loved ones who will understand/respect what she does....either to get by financially or as a living. HER choice to divulge her identity will always be respected and supported from my position as a hobbyist/person.

But how likely is it that you're going to be her hiring manager in 10 years when she's looking for a job?

Preach! I do not approve of the ladies ever showing their face. It seems to be mostly the younger ladies, maybe they are too busy YOLO'ing to realize this can and will come back to haunt them.

And planojim, you surely have a skewed opinion of this, but to say she is "fortunate" to have friends and family who respect her decision to be a hooker. Really? I would say the exact opposite, she is unfortunate because her friends and family clearly don't give a shit about her.

Also, if she has no further aspirations beyond being an escort, then fine, go for it; show us your ugly mug!

This is my final answer.

Go back to your stable and lie in your own shit. Who do you think you are.
I know you are only a troll, but that crossed the line.

Tinman,
When a photo is on the internet...it's most likely on the internet FOREVER. Who knows how will facial photo recognition software will be in the future? (google photo search is good now)
Bottom line: If I take photos of a provider for a review, and she wants her face or other physical characteristics, like tattoos etc, blurred then THEY'RE BLURRED and she'll also approve the photos before I use them! I don't care what the odds are she'll be recognized today or ten years from now. It's still her option.

What are you talking about? That wasn't directed at you at all, but I just checked your showcase and understand why you're getting all defensive now.

It's merely my opinion, I don't think ladies should show their face. Don't get all butthurt about it.

That is all, carry on.

We are all different .. I have chosen my path in life and will always be in the sex industry in some form of fashion. If there was a different path in my future, I would have done it 9 years ago. I am not saying I will always escort, but I do have goals and plans that I am working toward that do not involve anonymity. It is what it is. Everyone is different and who am I to judge.. I do not see being an escort as something bad and I am not doing this as last resort. I choose this life and lifestyle.

The statement of saying friends and family do not give a shit just because they support a lady in the industry. I just typed my first response of how the people in my life support me. So that is where I drew the conclusion of you talking about me.
Check my showcase again.. and next time, book with me lol

I really feel for providers in the fact that in order to get business as a provider, she has to show her real pics which could be detrimental in the future. IMO, here is the likely situation: Obviously, she is not going to put down escorting as a reference on the job application and most employers are looking for how well they feel the job she is applying for can be done by her, so their should be no relevance. Most ladies would put housewife whose husband was the sole income for that time period. The only fallout is if by chance, she has a co-worker or customer of the business knows about her past and some current providers, and I know a few, also work RW jobs. What she would expect is a little discreetness and most guys also want it as well.

I'm just speaking in generalities today, and keep in mind, I am a hooker, too. So I'm obviously not throwing stones here, just stating my opinion. The young girls need to stop showing their faces because they are going to ruin any other options for them in the real world. The Internet is forever, and Google results are your DNA. Future jobs, future lovers, future friends, etc. will be able to find those skeletons. Good luck ever having a normal life.

I'm on my best behavior today. That moderator NYr won't stop flirting with me, sending me love notes in the form of warnings, kicks me out of chat, and he even called me rude!

I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious now. Xoxoxoxo NYr!

I'm with Melannie on this one! You go girl!

My friends and family also know what I do for a living. I am very open about it. Although I am careful to keep my personal identity and my escort identity separated so as to not open the door for stalking or drama, I am not shamed of this line of work. Just like professionals in other fields do not need to hide their identities, I do not need to hide mine. I am proud to be a sex worker and this industry is my dream career. I walked away from a potential career in engineering wherein I was being recruited by dozens of companies and the US military's nuclear engineering department to enter this line of work because it's truly what I wanted. A decade ago I decided it's what I would love to do with my life and five years ago, I took the plunge and this journey began. No regrets!

Shaming sex workers is disgusting, and shaming sex workers for refusing to hide our faces in shame is equally disgusting. This is not to knock any lady who chooses not to show her face out of concern for her own privacy, as some ladies are not in a position to feel as confident about their futures as I feel about mine. For me, five years in this industry has taught me an invaluable amount of skills that are recyclable into different segments of this industry. This is my career. Yes, someday I will retire from being an escort, but I will never be ashamed of this career and will most likely just re-enter a different segment of the sex industry. I could screen for other providers, start a website like ECCIE, make a film about my life in this industry, become a sex worker rights activist and/or lawyer, open a health clinic for sex workers, etc etc etc. My future is in no way shot because I am open about being a sex worker. I have written articles about sex work and a google search of my legal name also connects me strongly to the sex industry. I don't ever want to work for anyone again anyway. I'm an independent lady, a business owner, an entrepreneur, and a motivated self-starter who is extremely savvy about marketing. When I move on from this line of work, it will be onto something even better, not to wage slavery for some boss somewhere. I don't ever want to work for/with anyone who would discriminate against a former sex worker anyway. Better to know up front that they are whorephobic so I can avoid association with them. That's one major reason why I am very open about what I do in my personal life.

One major reason why I show my face is that I don't appreciate objectifying myself with images of a faceless body. I am a human being and I appreciate that having my face in my images reflects this. I like to make eye contact with the camera to remind potential clients that I am an engaging person and not just a body to play with. It's a very intentional decision and I wouldn't have it any other way.
