i've been to 13th floor and velvet curtain [both on-premises] and to iniquity [off premises].
personally, i like 13th floor the best - lots of space, nice rooms [both public and private], lots of people, food, byob, etc. my date(s) and i played w/ other folks as well as just us. seems to me it was about $75/couple.
velvet curtain - it was pretty new when i went [it's now just south of deep ellum, s. of I-30], so there weren't that many couples there. when my dates and i went into the public room for play, some of the other folks just watched. one of my dates and to triple encourage a guy to let her suck his dick. i went last november[?] for a wednesday date and similar results - not many other folks. in both visits, i did, however, have fun w/ my date(s). wed was about $40/couple, fri/sat - if it's your 1st time and you get in before 9pm, free; otherwise about $60-75/couple.
to me, iniquity is more for dancing, clubbing, people watching, wet t-shirt watching [or whatever party they are holding]. if you are going to go a lot, you might meet some folks there that you could party w/ off-premises. seemed to me the fee was more expensive, but it's been 2 yrs.
i agree w/ charity gives - just like any club [swingers or not], the people at any of these clubs can be not-so-welcoming. not unfriendly but just less open to newbies or others they dont know. if you just wait for things to happen, they probably wont. you have to be more assertive yet respectful.
