Our first 2012 Prez Poll
Following up on the "Trump Card" thread, its November 2012. The primaries are done and its Obama vs. Trump (oh yeah, Ralph Nader is on the ballot like he always is.) You are at the polls. Who do you pick?
p.s. No birth certificates required to vote.

I don't think that Trump would be that much better as president. I just think that he believes in the economic and political principle that made the 1900s "The American Century". I do not believe that O'Bama does. Heck, he has said so explicitly.
On the other hand, I don't think that Trump will actually run.

That is irrelevant. Its 2012. He did. Deal with it.
How do you vote?

Cerebral President
President Obama is the most cerebral President this country has been fortunate to have.
If this country finally learned the hard lessons it should have learned from voting someone as patently obtuse as Bush into office, it will reelect President Obama without hesitation.
Being the President of the United States must be the toughest job in the world. No matter what you do, you will piss some people off, but some Presidents have seriously damaged this country like Bush, Nixon and Hoover.
The previous President left this country in the worst recession since the Great Depression, but President Obama has been steadily pulling this country out of the hole it was in.
President Obama has my full support and I wish him all the best in dealing with the real problems facing this country while fending off the attacks of his entrenched enemies.
. . . God help us if we allow an egomaniacal buffoon like Trump into the White House. He would surely rob this country blind!

Well said.
PJ, it would have been better to include more of the Republican contenders. I don't see Trump being anything but a sideshow in the race. If your point is "anybody who says they are a Republican no matter how inane a choice", I understand.

Perhaps you've never really heard of or read anything about Jefferson, Lincoln, Madison and John Adams?

It's like choosing a kick in the ass or a kick in the teeth. Both are bad choices IMHO. But, I would take a trained squirrel who shits on a board of possible responses to make a decision over our current POTUS, so I guess I'll take Trump by default.
