Hillary Clinton in 2024???
More and more talking heads are floating the idea that Hillary is a viable candidate for president. Meaning a couple of things; we might see a Trump/Hillary rematch and the democrat party has lost faith in Joe and never had faith in Kameltoe. What it demonstrates is that the democrats will push aside a woman of color and an openly gay man (Buttypig) for an old, privileged white woman.
When I first heard this seriously (it has been talked about for some months now) last week when someone suggested that Joe could resign, Harris moves up, choses Hillary as VP, and then Harris resigns putting Hillary in the Oval Office again. This from the New York Times and the Washington Post. First thing I thought of other than NOOOOOOOOOOO! was Richard Nixon and his come back in 1968. He narrowly lost to JFK in 1960 (some historians say that if not for cheating by the democrats, he would have won) and went away for eight years.
A few problems with that analogy. Historically, whenever a sitting president is challenged in the primaries, that party loses the election. (see LBJ and Ford) Nixon did NOT make a scene about election fraud, nor did he go around for eight years claiming that he won to anyone who would listen. He wrote and occassionally issued a wise insight to events. LBJ had promoted a very unpopular war and lost the New Hampshire primary to Eugene McCarthy. He quit at that point. Nixon had made a name for himself as VP, a defender of the USA, and an anti-communist stalwart. Many things turned out to be true that Nixon had said. Also, Nixon was only 55 years old when he ran the second time.
Hillary does not have a track record of being right about much of anything including where Bill is. She did not sit back and do any real prognostications in the intervening years. Joe is not going to go quietly. She will have to run in the primaries and she is no more popular than she was in 2008 and 2016. She will be 77 years old on election day and, in past, her health has not been good. People like FBI director Comey has said that she is a liar. She has no respect for the military (who cares anyway!), she has savaged women accusing her husband of lechery, Bill has an Epstein problem (a cancelled Bill would good for her). She was for the war in Iraq before she was against it. She overthrew Khaddafi and Libya is still a mess.
I welcome the former First Lady into the fray. Maybe this time (number three for those counting) she will learn her lesson.

Now Trump has to run! He kicked the shit out of Hillary once, and he can do it again. Now the Democrats will be really pissed off again.

That lady is 74 years old. Do you really think it is realistic for her to run for president in 2024? I'm pretty sure this country will be sick of old ass presidents by then after Biden is done. Haha

Hillary is just as big a crook as Trump, only on a smaller scale.

So in 2016 Hillary was so disliked and people were fed up with politicians, Trump got elected.
Recently all we hear on this forum is Biden’s approval rating is only 42%, then we hear well Trump’s was only 40%.
This place is funnier than “Comedy Central’
Why doesn’t anyone ever mention that Congress approval rating over the past decade is 20-25%. That’s our countries problem.
How many weeks a year do they work? 30 maybe 40. Hell they “abandon ship” and go home in the middle of a crisis.
“60 Minutes” did a story about how they spend half a day, everyday raising campaign funds. It’s amazing that once they get there, it’s almost impossible to get rid of them
.

and it's still a part time job. imagine getting paid $178K working part time? with massive benefits.
originally, it was a part time job because the travel requirements and the fact that only wealthy individuals could afford to spare the time (part time) to do it.
the problem, one of them .. of modern politics today is the rise of the career politician. and of course lobbying .. which shovels tons of cash into the pockets of both parties .. to get these politicos to abandon any common sense they ever had and vote for insane spending they never would personally or certainly not as a business owner. you;d go broke in no time flat.
here is the classic example of a lazy bum grifter politician too lazy to really work for a living...
remember far leftists .. this bum is an admitted socialist now worth 3 million for railing against capitalism .. go figure.
