What is funny about this to me (and I am not a political guy) is that the people who should be getting all the heat, the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, are the ones that seemed to have dodged the bullet, when in truth, they are the ones who have used a formerly great award to promote their own agenda. To me they have so significantly cheapened the award (I think anybody who gives any thought to matter would have to agree) that it is hard to considered it a serious honor if they intend to to award it to individuals for what they hope they will do, rather than for their true accomplishments.
If they persist in this trend, then the award is the the joke not the person to whom it is presented. The list of people with good intentions is endless ... the list of individuals with truly great humanitarian accomplishments is not.
OFF :-)
