GO TEXAS!!! TEXAS, FIGHT!!!
I can't contain my excitement anymore.
I have wings marinading.....
Will also cook corn on the cob and red potatoes in cajun spices.
And of course....BEER.
It's OUR recipe for a Championship game, a Super Bowl, or any GREAT football game.........
What do you do on game day to make it special? Anything?
GO TEXAS, FIGHT!!!!!

Go Horns!
Here's hoping that Alabama's cheerleaders are at least a little smarter than USC's cheerleaders from four years ago...

My prediction -- Alabama 27 Texas 17.
Texas has faced exactly 2 teams this year with defenses ranked in the top 30 among BCS teams -- Oklahoma and Nebraska. I don't think it's a coincidence that those 2 games were the worst that UT played all year. And here is Alabama with probably a defense at least as good as OU's and Nebraska's.
Keys to the game: For Bama, they have to stop Shipley who has been THE best player on the team this year. If you look at the biggest plays for UT this year, Shipley has been in most of them -- taking short passes and making big plays out of them; returning punts; returning kickoffs. Also put pressure on McCoy. No Suh on the Bama team but better linebackers and solid corners that will slow the receivers coming open. For UT: stop the running game, or at least slow it, so that McElroy has to pass more than usual. He was awesome against Florida but was that a fluke? Can the UT offensive line, which to be generous was not very good against Nebraska, give McCoy time to pass? If yes, it could be a long night for Bama. UT has one great receiver and others that CAN be great, but can also drop passes at critical moments.
As in most games, turnovers will be the key. Alabama had only 10 turnovers in 13 games, the fewest among BCS teams. UT had 23 turnovers. The punt/kickoff game will also be a factor. Bama has not been good at covering kicks and UT has been suspect at times. Both teams have great returners.
Everyone enjoy the game. Should be a great one.

I am amazed when people completely write Texas off as possibly winning this game.
I always go back to their first Rose Bowl appearance when everyone was saying they didn't belong there, they were not good enough. Result: Texas 38 Michigan 37
Then the following year, facing USC, with two Heisman Trophy winners in its backfield. A killer defense. Texas didn't stand a chance against a power house team with a 34 game winning streak, and again many said we didn't belong there. But when it was all said and done: Texas 41 USC 38 and a National Championship.
I am not saying we are a shoe-in to win. However, never underestimate any team on any given day. We have more than a great chance at walking away with the win.
Hook'm Horns

There's NO defense in the country like Nebraska's defense! The Horns will not be limited to scoring only 13 points in this game.....maybe 13 per quarter! The Tide was just able to show the rest of the country how lame Florida is when they actually play a good team. But they won't repeat the same kind of offense against Texas.
I hate losing to Texas (being a Nebraskan) but there's no doubt in my mind that Texas will be scoring early and often tonight! Good luck to both teams and fans but my money is on the Horns!

Mccoy injuried early first half. And he is not coming back, up to the defense and a freshman QB. Going to be a tough one now....
