And what about your mother's cervical cancer or did that not come to pass? On the other board's thread you started a couple of weeks ago you said you would find out what stage your Dad was 10 days ago and your mother on the 19th. What stage are they in?

I thought the responses you received then were quite erudite and helpful. Anything specific you are looking for now?

I wish all the best of luck.

I had liver cancer. Was extremely lucky that it was a large external growth and all they had to do was remove it.

I actually felt guilty that it wasn't worse. Didn't seem fair.

Well my mother doesn't have cervical cancer. I might. I said on the other board it was her bc I didn't want ppl says aww poor baby to me... but on the 19th they said they found cancer cells but til the biopsy that spot they can't confirm it. That will b may 10th. I leave on the 26th to fly up n c my father n he is having his cancer surgery on the 5th of may. Hope all go well.

Have had ppl mad at me bc I'm going up there to b with him instead of trying to deal with mine. I keep saying the same thing... I would b upset with myself if something happened to him n I wasn't there..

My cancer (when it's confirmed) isn't as bad as his. Mine is all tissue. His is in bone n his neck...

Default One day at a Time

I have been in the healthcare for a long time.
I think you need to take one day at a time and stop assuming and predicting.
Be there for support but let the Doctors/specialists confirm diagnosis first.
Cancer is a scary word but it is not always end stage when Diagnoised'
Recent case someone had oral cancer and it was removed and she has speech impairment but still normal in every other aspect of her life.
Relax and take one day at a time and let healthcare workers do their magic....

Ok update
My father had his surgery Friday. they ended up finding more when they opened him up. As of this morning he got to go home. But due to heart issues they told him if they do chemo it would stain his heart to much. So hopefully they got everything with the surgery bc that's all we got ..

As for me we will c when we get the biopsy this week. Just dealing with one thing at a time.

Ok results are in they said they are pre-cancerous n I am having a leep procedure done next mouth to have the spot removed. After that I have to just keep up with extra pap smear for 2yrs to make sure it doesn't come back.

Sounds like you have it under control. Good for you girl. Wishing you a successful procedure next month. I think one of the best defense against cancer is early detection. About a year ago had a few polyps removed that could have turned cancerous.

During my father's surgery they 2 biopsy of the skull . The results are finally in. Both covered in cancer. So the surgery was useless n a waste of time since he is refusing chemo. This is what his older sister died from yrs ago and she did everything. .
