Default NBA For Christmas??? What Are Your Thoughts?

I'm disgusted over this whole NBA lockout! Now they're saying we may have a triple header for Christmas! H-mmm, who's happy?

Agreed. Amazing how life continued even without basketball. That might be why a settlement was reached. They were afraid if enough time passed people would not care if they ever played again.

As for games on Christmas. I have better things to do.

Yup.
Regardless of the excuses they give.
Getting nervous about the lack of $$$ and the general publics' malaise that would again be boiled down to advertisers $$$

I do feel sorry for all those who work the Spurs games at the AT&T because that is the income source for many (I was reminded of that when I saw all the workers at The Alamodome when UTSA played the last game a few weeks ago).....

.....can't believe I'm saying this; however, I would almost like to see some kind of boycott

and let's not even get into some really stupid conversations with the Spurs' ticket office concerning season tickets ==> can you say they already have our money???.....

I love basketball but it pissed me off when they say "it was in the best interest of the players". Well what about the fans interest, had the season been lost, so many people would have been affected and they didn't seem to care.

I agree with Dennis on the boycott suggestion! I know this will draw the wrath of many sports fanatics, but I HATE basketball! I see it as a very pointless sport which seems to come down to the last minute when the game is tied, or nearly tied.

The lockout situation came across as a bunch of whiny, greedy pricks who are now afraid they will lose relevance (and money) if they didn't strike a deal. The only people for whom I feel sorry are the support staff/workers (stadium workers, concession vendors, etc.) who rely upon the games for employment. If it wasn't for them, I couldn't care less if the NBA was completely disbanded!

Yeah, a little boycott would be a slap that'd make them think.

Exactly! No consideration for the *little people* who have been devastated by the lock-out! I love basketball, and my Spurs, but as of right now...this whole thing has made me see sports in a whole different light!

Yep! Little people is right. Think of all the small businesses whose livelihood is dependent upon the traffic generated by the games. Eateries, bars, places that sell the sports apparel. They are all suffering now.

You never see this kind of greed in NASCAR.

Quite frankly I would personally be indifferent if it wasn't for the paychecks I am missing with out them playing. At least I know I will have a few months of income out of these spoiled children.

You don't actually think they will make decisions based on what is best for their customer after all this do you? They have already proven it is all about the money for them. I wish they would have replaced all of the players with lower cost players and lowered ticket prices. That would have gotten the fans attention. When the players found out what the value of their other skills really is they would have accepted a pay cut.
