who are the cops after
It seems like there has been a shift lately for cops to charge the johns and try to get the girls off the streets.Just noticing it more in stories like the one in Houston and other places. It seems like once they get a girls phone they could just start calling or texting down the list and see who responds would that be entrapment just curious of what yall thought

Shyster Jon needs to weigh in on exactly what it is legally.
My 15 years or so experience in Dallas is the Police are not focused on prostitution per se, the only things I've heard from reliable sources have been peripheral criminal businesses involving dealing forbidden substances, trafficking, and pimp rings.
There have been periodic cleanup efforts on street-walkers, but if you hate your dick enough to pick up a hooker on the street, I reckon Darwin had a point.
Outside of Dallas, I have no experience. Local politics determines police priorities. If it keeps you awake at night, find another hobby.

I don't think calling the names is entrapment, it's what you say to encourage a potential session.. I think it is similar to a female cop walking along Harry Hines, waving at cars. if she's not barking, "hey, fuck me today, only $80"!, she is not soliciting.

Read Section 43.02 of the Texas Penal Code. I'm not a lawyer and don't play one on TV, but a close reading of the statutes tells me that, the way they are written, it's really difficult to prove that a client committed the offense of prostitution unless he does something stupid.
Fort Worth generally doesn't have many guys being charged with prostitution. When they are, arrest reports usually show them to have been arrested in areas known for streetwalking activities -- which means they definitely did something stupid and most probably said something stupid.
I'm not a lawyer and don't play one on TV, but after 20 years of observing the hobby, I think that unless you're involved in things that we can't talk about here, you do or say something stupid, or the woman does something to arouse the suspicion of neighbors or hotel staff, your legal risk is fairly small.
I've been more worried about boyfriends and husbands finding their women's hobby phones and luring me in for a beat-the-shit-out-of-me session (one was ex-Special Forces, another an investigator for the DA's office, a third was a Dallas detective, and a fourth probably spent 23 hours a day in the gym) than I have been about cops.

The other question is are yall noticing a shift within the le and are they focusing more on the johns than the girls. It seems like there is a national campaign to help stop sex trafficking and the focus has sifted to arresting Johns and fining them and putting the girls in programs Is anyone else seeing this.

Yes, in the press. Whether or not the money is actually resulting in more arrests may be another matter.

And, the press is so reliable these days. About the only thing in the paper I believe is the date at the top.

Trafficking has become the new War On Drugs.
Lots of government funding is available.Aston Kutcher even testified to Congress recently to get more money to save the women.

Well, I hope that everyone who is a part of our very loose online community wouldn't want either escorts or clients to experience criminalization as a result of selling or buying sexual services. That said, sex workers have been grinding hard for decades now to advocate for authority figures and the general public to ease up on sex work and stop shaming and arresting sex workers and their clients. I wonder if there will ever be an upswing of clients chipping in their fare share to sway public opinion.
And FYI "End Demand," is a cultural shift in policy that aims to arrest many more clients and move towards no longer arresting those who are selling sex. These practices are gaining much more popularity among various LE agencies, whether local, state, or federal.
