That's weird, maybe you didn't verify your email? Another trick when that happens is I'll open another tab, login and then click back to here and click the link, then it works all of a sudden

Another thing keep in mind is that you actually have to be logged into the site when you click the link. When you log in, I think there's a "Remember Me" or "Keep Me Logged In" checkbox you have to check in order to stay logged in after you close your browser. But honestly, it's been so long since I've had to actually log in there (being still logged in from a previous visit) that I don't recall the details.
