Default Outbreak in dallas

Looks like dallas has the first diagnosed case of Ebola in the U.S.

A man who just got back from west Africa has the first confirmed case of it.

now this is serious shit. He must have had contact with others. Since this disease is spread via fluids and isn't air born hopefully it was contained before it got worst. I read the think they caught it early however
If you feel sick, almost like a flu, please go to the hospital or consult with your doctor and yeaa don't fuck around. This isn't the time for sex while you feel sick giving others a gift that you can't live long with

Default You beat me to this topic ...

A few months back, I started a topic in the political section about ebola and the effect that it could possibly have in the demimonde.

My topic was poo poo'd on and there was the general sentiment that there was NOTHING to be concerned about.

Now, this?

Let me tell you something, plenty of the guys who "hobby" are very well traveled and most of us already know this. And it's not a huge jump to be concerned about people who are doing a lot of flying.

I think that one of the reasons why I've been concerned about going to D.C. is because of being on a plane.

I know that a lot of attention will be coming of this. But I have NO IDEA how this is going to be stopped.

Yeah. VERY SERIOUS SHIT, as someone mentioned above.

Not a citizen returning but a Liberian from Africa visiting family in Dallas. Hope the medical authorities know what to do and not spouting propaganda to keep us cool and feeling safe. Did I really say that??? They say virus travels by contact but they won't answer if contact means touching anything that the patient touches. And two scientists have expressed fear that mutation which is expanding rapidly will advance to travel by air. Beware-

i had to look up what demimonde meant.

but Spanish flu, SARS, swine flu, west nile and now ecola..i mean ebola.

i think we should all lock ourselves in our homes until we hear it is safe to go out. but if we do not go out we can't work. and if we can't work we will not be able to pay for internet or tv access. so we will not be able to find out when it is safe to go out.

calm down people.

i for one will be going out to eat tonight with no fear of the aforementioned diseases. i am thinking either bbq or italian. maybe tex-mex. want some guacamole and salsa.

This morning they showed a middle aged guy in one of the quarantine beds, but it may have been stock footage.

And the local news media is doing their best to outscare the fuck out of us.
This should prolly be moved to the Sandbox. Or the We're All Gonna Die forum.

I'm sure that there are going to be several topics about this issue all over Eccie.

The reason why I think that this being discussed in the Dallas coed is valid and fine is because if this DOES become an issue, I think that the females here would all be affected.

I'm all for not overreacting. Of course!

But this is a very personal business. Yes, we swap spit. And of course, it's always something to think about when in actuality, we have absolutely no clue on what is really going on.

Frankly, I think that the news folks are trying to NOT cause a huge freak out. And I'm not "freaking out" myself. But I am concerned and wish to keep up with the current news, for what it's worth!

You do know the only time this disease can spread is when the person actually showing signs of sickness i.e throwing up, diarrhea - I doubt anyone in such a situation would be hobbying or would have the energy to hobby. This is only transmitted during such a stage via bodily fluids and this isnt air born. If you were to see someone whether male or female showing signs of having a flu - I would avoid having sex with that person in this hobby
