The only reason several States and Cities have not been able to outright ban firearms I'd due to the diligence of the NRA. They are the one organization that has taken a no compromise stance when it come to defending the 2d Amendment, part of our Constitutional Bill of Rights.
Yes, the NRA goes over the top. Yes, they seem extreme. But in a battle such as this, where you are dealing with demagogues and their lackeys who would strip away the very freedoms that have made America great, then the fight has to be carried out with one thing in mind, victory.

There are a lot of poor people in Chicago and other lib cities that would be raising their hands though. Although Chicago doesn't grab guns, they just make it unaffordable for the poor to get a concealed carry permit. The end result is unarmed citizens getting slaughtered or attempted, like the 45 cases they had over Easter weekend, you have to feel sorry for the poor victims of gun control
