Default Newbie need Incall Advice

Hi Ladies & Gents,

I'm new to the board and to Texas. I'm trying to find a good, nice area to host my incall. Originally I was going for Arlington but I have been told by a member to avoid the Arlington area.

The DFW area is just so big, I'm completely confused. Any suggestions or advice on preferred areas would be great...

Galleria area near 635/Dallas N tollway is good. Lots of decent hotels and good access

Are you looking for hotels or apartments? If apartment, don't listen to the anti-Arlington folks. It's no worse than other parts of town.

If you're using a hotel, Arlington and Irving are more consistently active in curbing hobby activity than some other areas of town. Seems like Addison has been cracking down, too, as of late.

EDIT (an additional thought): be cognizant of your commute time. Galleria is indeed a popular choice, for good reason. However, if you live on the west side of the DFW area, that may not be practical for you. It's a long distance, and usually heavy traffic. You don't want to risk being late or missing appointments thanks to the traffic hell we live with here.

Go for an apartment. You girls make good money, not hard to come up with 1-1500 per month. It's much less than hotels, 3-5000 per month.

I second the Galleria/Far North Dallas area, and also the apartment over hotel suggestion.

Welcome to Texas!

If you're in this as a Provider for the long haul, an apartment/condo is the way to go. A lot of them only require a 6-7 month lease as well.

Arlington is safe but htose who suggest not is a market that won't drive that far. Always why they suggest north Dalls. Much much more competition there than Arlington and more expensive with greater risks - LE, bad dudes.

Find providers in Arlington and elsewhere- have a discussion. Better than listening to your market.

When I open new markets I find the suppliers first- get a handle on the demand and preferences. Speeds up decisions and better ones. Now that is a consulting secret.

I would ask in the Providers section of the site. Here you will get the Gents telling you to set up shop in their area of the Metroplex. Try an accessible area in the part of the Metroplex you live in. Which you can drive to in a short period of time. Other Providers will have a better handle on the question than will the Gents. Good luck and Hobby Safe!

I would suggest setting up shop at different hotels around the metroplex...use priceline or expedia for deals, of course...and see which areas you like the best and which areas made clients feel uneasy, etc. And then narrow it down from there. There are SO many great places to live around DFW, but it's really up to you and what it is you are looking for. If you are looking to have some kind of social life and like to go out to eat, Plano's Shops at Legacy is a great great area, but is it discreet? Not really. If you are looking for something quiet, Allen or McKinney or even Fort Worth would work, but they are a bit out of ways for some. But like i said, it is all up to you.

Thank you everyone for your insight. I was looking more into the hotel route. Think I'm going to set up shop near N. Dallas/Galleria area
