Texas and the wall
Texas Governor Greg Abbott officially announces the beginning of construction of the Texas border wall here in the Rio Grande Valley. It’s the first time in the history of the country a state has built its own border wall. A Texas flag flies atop the crane.

And yet Senile Biden is screwing every American Taxpayer.
Gov. Abbott reached out to the Biden admin to inquire about using/purchasing the massive piles of steel already bought & paid for by US taxpayers for the Trump wall that have been sitting unused since Biden cancelled work. There has been no response from Senile Biden.
Fucking asshole Biden would rather just waste taxpayer money and let all this steel rot in the desert than give it or even sell it to Texas who plans to finish gaps in the wall on their own to stop from being overrun by a bunch of fucking illegals. Despicable. This is your and my money that paid for that which asshole Senile Biden is just wasting. An utter disregard for everyday Americans who pay taxes

hooray for Texas once more doing their own thing (electrical grid anyone?)! I think it's great that they would rather waste more taxpayer money purchasing more steel when they could easily just storm the capit...er I mean, they can storm the "storage location" to get this steel to use.
I attempted to find if this footage and the photos are accurate, but cannot confirm outside of the FNM (faux news media). This could be pictures taken from anywhere, but I guess if the FNM says it's so, then it must be so!

Surprise
Probably surprised to see that I actually do agree with completing the wall and using the steel on hand all up. I know walls aren't perfect but there has to be some deterrent to illegal crossings. Course a shovel and a few nights of digging and there's another way in. But in general, we need to address immigration and enforce existing laws. Non citizens in jail who are caught during crossing, should not qualify for all of our rights either...I know some of you are probably shocked to hear that from a more left leaning dude here, but we give too much to others freely. I'm more pissed though about those who take advantage of our generosity.

Typical lib take - not believing in borders. Do you realize the harm open borders do? Do you know what border towns in Texas have to put up with with the steady stream of illegals coming in? But you belittle Texas for trying to protect its citizens. Unreal.
And why would you doubt the accuracy of the photos. There were plenty of stories shortly after Senile Biden took office when he stopped construction of the wall about how the steel was already paid for and he left it sitting there to rot. Even worse, the contractors hired to build the wall still had to be paid even though he did not have them finish the work. So he just burned taxpayer money. I guess you like seeing your taxes wasted like this

I am not shocked. Perhaps mildly surprised. While you have a different political perspective, you have more common sense than the other liberals who post here.
Illegal immigration needs to be addressed. And yes, a wall isn't the end all and be all - but it is a big deterrent and a physical barrier mixed with electronic surveillance would enable the Border Patrol to more effectively do their jobs. Add in one the successful "Remain in Mexico" policy President Trump instituted for those making legit asylum requests and these 3 steps would go a long way

I did not say that I don't support border protection - in your own famous words, please stay on topic. The topic is not about illegal border crossing, it's about sleepy Joe wasting 10 million dollars worth of steel for a border wall that his predecessor purchased. But to answer your question, no I don't know what border towns in Texas have to put up with because I live in Pennsylvania. I'm guessing you have a residence in a Texas Mexico border town, since you know so much about it.
Anyway, there are several reasons why I doubt the accuracy of the photos, mainly because wasting $10M would be headline news in all of the CNN's - oh wait, I forgot, all of the CNN's are in on the jig too because this benefits them...somehow. But if it were in fact true, someone should be able to find it on sites other than the FNM. For that matter, FNM should post the name of the street that this abandoned steel is stored, so that at least we can get a satellite view of the "Miles of steel" laying in rust.
To go way off topic and to prove a point about accuracy, remember the video of money that was allegedly found in Afghanistan earlier this year that I debunked? Oh wait, you deflected that one too, calling me unpatriotic because I didn't address the 13 service members who perished
https://eccie.net/showthread.php?t=2799899&highlight=
...which again, had nothing to do with the original reason of your post.
The cry of the trumplican party - it's true until someone debunks it, then deflect deflect deflect!

No - the thread is very much about illegal border crossing which is why Texas is building their own wall. I started the thread - I know what it is about. Read the OP.
A tangential issue is Senile Biden wasting money on the steel that was bought for the wall and left to rot. Rather than give it or sell it to Texas to use, Senile Biden once again screws the American people.
Your comments show you don't support border protection as you belittle the fact that Texas is working to finish sections of the wall on their own.
As far as the accuracy of the pictures, you obviously have not looked too hard. Because there are lots of stories out there. But that is typical of the libtard party. You only believe what is spoon fed to you by the DNC and their media cohorts.
I guess all these stories were made up too
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...contracts.html

And its not $10 million dollars Senile Biden has wasted. It is between a quarter to a half billion dollars on the steel bollards alone according to one of these detailed reports. And that is not even counting the $3 million a day Senile Biden is paying out under contracts signed to not build the wall. One study by congress put the total wasted by Senile Biden between $1 - $2 billion
Although the unused light poles, rebar, and other material can probably be easily repurposed, the steel itself, mostly in the form of bollards, poses more of a problem. Just one site in New Mexico has about 31,000 bollards, according to calculations I made from aerial photographs. Another 20,000 bollards are spread across four sites in Arizona; a few thousand more sit in the chaparral hills outside San Diego. I spoke with one steel manufacturer that supplied material for the border wall. The company’s spokesperson didn’t want to be quoted by name talking about government contracts, but estimated that each bollard costs about $9,000, not including modifications (welding to steel panels and filling with rebar and concrete) or installation costs. If that number is close to accurate, about half a billion dollars’ worth of steel is sitting in the sun in New Mexico, Arizona, and California.

And here is exactly why border security is vitally important. Besides keeping out hordes of freeloading illegals, an open border lets criminals and terrorists have easy access to enter
A "potential terrorist" with links to a number of "Yemeni subjects of interest" was captured in Arizona late last week after illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, U.S. Border Patrol officials announced Monday.

Oh, no. These leftist assholes know everything about everything, from their ivory towers. They know the world as they see it and if you don't agree with them you're a racist.

Maybe the TNC (Trumplican National Committee) is spoon feeding you? If sleepy joe were wasting billions, even chicken noodle news would be all over it.
The only link that holds any water is the Atlantic (written by an actual journalist) with a great article written about the 'rusting steel'. Interestingly the steel is scattered all over the border states not just in Texas.
And wouldn't it be better for Gov Abbott to try and acquire the already manufactured steel rather than to manufacture new? Talk about wasting money.
Lastly, don't you find it ironic that steel that was meant for a wall (presumably one that will be built outside in the elements) is now "rusting"? Maybe your combover king should have bought better steel?
