Default Hmm.. Should preggo providers keep providing??

As I'm sure my regulars have noticed, the south's favorite Chicagoan has taken a veeery long break from any touring. I've emailed a few of you with news of my fiance's and my expected little new addition to the fam, but was genuinely surprised when I was encouraged to continue to work. Perhaps I'm just naive and haven't done enough looking around, but I don't necessarily see girls parading the fact around? I am aware of a handful that would continue until their emerging moon bellies became too obvious, but to work with all parties involved well aware? Hmm...

So here's my question; would it be too weird to continue working, even at 4,6,8 months pregnant? Or, rather, is it sought after? Honored even? What is the norm or protocol? Is it looked down upon? My first concern would be safety, as always, but I've never really considered myself 'wild' (I know my reviews indicate otherwise, but I'm talkin Sasha Grey standards haha)so I'm not too concerned about over-exerting myself or anything.

I am, however, looking for a general opinion, although I'm sure I'm going to receive a very diverse response. Who better to ask then on all my NOLA boys, right? ) Rest assured, this IS the reason I've been so bland in my emails to everyone, so I apologize for all I've kept in the dark so far! With enough positive feedback I'm inching toward changing my mind, so let me know what you think!

Congrats!!! Just invade you didn't know, go ahead and expect people to be condescending about that topic. You gotta make the decision to either stop or continue with if it's good for you. Sure, there is a lot of stress in this business and I guess with the hormones working would sometimes be awful. I've never been in your situation but try asking the pregnant providers here. I know Alecia Westmore or something has been working pregnant.

Honestly, if I got knocked up today, I wouldn't continue to be a provider. For someone who is unemployed and doesn't have a "baby daddy's support", she may not have any other choice. If I were in that situation, I would probably have the support of an adoptive family. I just don't believe in bringing kids into the world if you can't support them, but that's a whole other topic.

Pregnant providers can be very desirable and sought after. Pregnant women exude femininity and their hormones are often in overdrive, which turns on a lot of guys. If you're interested in still providing, go for it. You will find a lot of eager clients!

Good luck.

Up to you. There is a market for it, but as tanner said - you will catch grief for it. From the women who think carrying a child has made your body sacrosant and from the giys who think "Thank God I didnt BBFS with her. Wonder who did? Wonder if she knows who the babydaddy is?" (Some guys cant wrap their head around ladies who have strong relationships - go figure)

Whichever way you go Congratulations!

*and for the record, my already higher than average libido went into turbo powered overdrive when I was pregnant. Hubby was one happy stress free man*

Oh, and for the record. I'm with Heidi. I personally would not be able to keep providing if I were pregnant. With all the stress that comes with this job including the travel, booking, screening, seeing clients who could possibly kill you or get you put in jail, the stress of your man not being okay with your choice.

Hey, you guys should talk about this. Fuck our opinions that, baby is between you two. I hate to sound like relationship counselor but this choice is something that is extremely pertinent to the health of your relationship which will then affect the life that the baby is brought up in. Keep things good at home. If he supports you and you want to keep working then go for it but if he doesn't know what you do I would quit.

I'm glad to see such interesting feedback, after barely a day! Surprising, tho, how most of the public feedback are from providers, my inbox was packed this afternoon by (even more surprisingly, positive) feedback from the guys. My main concerns (and biggest reasons why I've stayed out of the biz) are safety of both the child and I, and the fact that yes, I do feel a tad personally uncomfortable seeing clients.

What made me post a thread with my question, however, was the persistence of one client from NOLA in particular. One who regularly books multi-hour sessions and whom I've gotten to know very well made me wonder about the rest of my regulars and how I know and enjoy all of their company... and how I can swear by the lot of them that they wouldn't hurt a fly, let alone their dream 'chearleader' I'm not saying by any means that I would trust these men with my life, and would consider hiring protection while touring if I made the choice to. Bottom line, the only reconsideration I'm having is seeing no new clients, but visiting the ones who I'm very familiar and comfortable with. I think that would both satisfy my fears and boundaries.

And for all of you wondering if Angelica is indeed knocked up by a significant other, I am I don't think I would be able to be in a relationship with my partner unknowing or disapproving of my profession, so that answers that question! And although I find it not to be my place to say anything to clients who wear their wedding bands to appointments... I'll go ahead and say here that I think its just a taaad too much! I don't ever wear mine through them! But I'm getting off topic..

I am so appreciative of both the response here and those who replied to me through pm's, you have really calmed my fears and to be honest, I was expecting a lot more grief tanner and babee warned me of. I'm sure I'll catch some if I do decide to tour again, but in the past year or so of working since starting with the Elves, I've built up a sturdy list of clientele whom I would have no problem seeing... so perhaps Angelica will be returning after all!! Not to mention you all know how much winters SUCK in the windy city lol.

Thanks again!

angelica,

we may not have met, I certainly would like to.

Consider this, the most important thing for you is to be comfortable with yourself with the pregnant provider idea. if you're not comfortable with this, then in your best interest, do not pursue that idea.

there have been a number of pregnant providers who've passed this way to new orleans. they are a rarity probably for a good reason.

Last year was a bit of a dry year, 1 pregnant provider (she was very well known) passed thru.

Angelica,

I for one wouldn't want to see a pregnant provider. Not my thing. That being said, I gotta believe there are guys dying to see a pregnant lady. Everyone has different kinks and fantasies.

What ever you do, please be careful!!!!

Best of luck to you!

Your (and the baby's) safety would be my biggest concern. But if you are comfortable with providing while pregnant, then I say do it. Like some of the other people have said, be prepared for some grief. I personally find pregnant women to be very beautiful and sexy. The natural *glow* of an expecting woman isn't found anywhere else.

When I was pregnant with my first child, I read everything there was about pregnancy. My SO was very hesitant about having sex while I was in a delicate condition. In his words, he didn't want to poke the baby! LOL! But I read that having orgasms help a great deal in preparing the body for the birth process, contracting uterus muscles.
I think you have a wonderful idea in seeing only trusted regular clients. I know I don't really need to say this, but the mother in me won't hush, if you feel the need to stop at any point, you should do so. Being a mother for the first time, or experienced, is a miracle and joy to be shared with the one you love! Congratulations to you and your SO, I wish you both a healthy and happy baby!

I could not provide while being pregnant. Too many risks already while providing without being pregnant.

I would be very nervous and scared simply because pregnancies can be unpredictable. Anything can happen.

On the flip side, whatever floats your boat. Lots of men find pregnant woman beautiful, and sexy, skin glowing so pretty. :-). And well the preggo ladies are horny. Lol!

Do what you are comfortable with. :-).
