I am contemplating a visit through the south within the next few weeks and was wondering if anyone has tips on best places to stay in Jacksonville or Gainesville? Which would be better?

Either Gainesville or Ocala have nice new homewood suites and I usually get about 109 rate ( unless its a football game weekend or something special)

I have never worked in Gainesville (yet), but I toured Jacksonville once in the past + I did "okay" (by my own standards...) However, I was staying with a friend (for free, at her house) on the days I had no appointments. I had a couple of appointments + I felt good about my profit margin, when I left, but if I stayed in hotels every single day of my trip, I would have made less money ...
