So, who will President Sanders pick for the Supreme Court?
As it appears more likely than before that ignorant mopes like IFFY may actually get their wish and have Trump as the GOP candidate, it also appears more likely that Bernie Sanders will be the lesser of two evils come November.
I think Hillary is finished. So Bernie will be the Democratic candidate.
Establishment Republicans and anyone with half a brain will recoil from the narcissistic sociopath Trump. So they will either not vote or vote for Bernie and hope that Congress can keep him in check for 4 years.
But that means that Bernie will get to pick Scalia's replacement - assuming obstructionism by the GOP while Obama is still in office. Even is the GOP does NOT obstruct for 9 months, Sanders is likely to pick Ginsberg's replacement. Let's be honest, she has had one foot in the grave for some time now.
So, who does Bernie pick?
And IFFY, do you see the consequences of backing populist assholes now?

It will be Obama's nominee. Plain and simple. Any assault on this constitutional obligation by the hypocritical obstructionists in Congress will result in the end of the GOP.

Another prediction by YouRong that the GOP is "THROUGH"?
I just heard Bernie say that he thought Obaminable should make the pick, which Congress should approve and "then get on with business." I "assume" he wants someone who will approve of his confiscation (taking) of money from the "wealthy" and distribution of it to the lazy people who don't want to work.
Things are "looking up" for YouRong?

You used to post intelligent comments but now you're losing it. No sane Republican - establishment, tea party, or otherwise - would ever, ever, ever vote for Bernie Sanders.

You are correct. (depressingly common, depressing because you are way too left wing for me, common because you are otherwise very smart)
The SCOTUS is more important than the Presidency on this one, though of course the Presidency is the gateway as well as the Senate. Although I admire Mr. Trump, I'm voting for Rubio as a practical matter, so an electable Republican can defeat Bernie Sanders and salvage the Republic.
Anyone Bernie puts on the court will likely ruin us, although it could backfire on whoever makes the appointment.
I hope Rubio nominates a Spanish surnamed version of Clarence Thomas.

What do you care? If the Democrat nominee gets elected, you will get an even more left wing commie on the court, and you can look down your own moralistically hypocritical nose at the dying right wing.

Did asswipe just predict the "end of the GOP" again?
Is a "hypocritical obstructionist" anything like those Democrats who turned the word "Bork" into a verb?
Galatians 6:7-8: "Be not deceived... for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap..."

It's an Austinite who shuts down subdivision construction projects at the interim financing phase while purporting to be saving an endangered salamander rumored to have been seen beside a rock in Barton Springs Creek and then not employing any flood control measures to prevent the little critter who was possibly seen to prevent it from becoming crab bait down in the Gulf.
And then they are promoted to the Federal EPA ...
They really do need a sympathetic Judge to replace Scalia to cover their sorry asses.

Each new day brings more depression about the next president. Sanders might be a nice person--I don't know--but is a LWW who does not live in the real world. Clinton makes RMN look like a squeaky clean politician. Trump is a narcissistic nut job with zero qualifications and HOPEFULLY not electable--unless the redneck zombies come out in force. So what is left? I agree with you and have been leaning to Rubio as imperfect, but the best option I can see out there.
As to the SC nominee--Congress can and might stall, just as the Congress has been doing for much of the last 15 years. But I suspect that IF (a big if) Obama puts up someone sane, the Reps would not want the bad publicity of delaying confirmation. If Obama puts up a LWW Nut, then I think (and hope) they will stall.
What a novel idea: how about a few justices who are not from one fringe or the other? How about a court that does NOT decide almost every issue based strictly on political lines. It would be a step forward if we had 3-5 "swing votes" on the court that would hear cased based upon merit, not the idealism of the extremes.
