User Option Section for Provider Showcase

I like the current look of the Provider Showcase, where it is partitioned to 30 thumbnails per page. It let me to think, is there development plans to give us a "Provider Showcase" options section in User CP?

I think it would be great to set the number of thumbnails per page, such as 30, 60, 90, etc or all.

Also there has been several of us that just want to see those showcases in a certain area and it would be nice to pick your default location when you arrive in the showcase.

I am sure that others may have option requests as well.

Very well said cmp. I was thinking the same thing myself yesterday. The site is looking AWESOME! But I would like more of a selection at the top (more thumbs) .....maybe we can control to only see the showcase the city we are in. Don't get my wrong, I like looking at all the ladies, but my hometown is where I spend my $$$. hehe


Not too sure about the 30,60,90 thumbs....as that might take longer to load a page for people with slower PC's.

If you go to "Search Showcases" you have a very powerful search feature including "Metro Area". Very cool!

Slippery...I think the suggestion is to make the "Location" element of the search function "sticky" or tied to the location in your profile so that the user saves a click and load time when launching the search functions page.

"Sticky" means that it remembers the last location you left in the pull down window.

The other way to do it is probably easier code which would tie the default location to the location selected in your own user profile.

Of the two, I think "sticky" would be the more elegant approach but suspect the profile-based default would be much easier to implement.

Here's how I vision future development of the Provider Showcase tab.

We scrap the current selections. 4 of them do pretty much the same thing, just sorted differently....so,

We would narrow the selections to 3.

Browse ALL
Sort by Metro Location
Advanced Search Utility

The "Browse ALL" would obviously bring up an alphabetical listing of all the showcases in the library. (Thumbnails + Girls name)

The Sort by Metro Location would likely be the most chosen selection. It would also bring up all the showcases, in alphabetical order, but the thumbs would have the metro locations listed under their name and the thumbnail. At the top of the display would be a drop-down box with all of the Metro Locations. When you select your city from the dropdown, all of the showcases disappear from the screen EXCEPT your chosen city. you could quickly go from city to city and see, at a glance, which girls and how many girls have a showcase for that city.

Of course the 3rd option would be the Advanced Search Utility. The value of this tool will continue to increase as the showcase library grows.

So there you go.....now you have a glimpse into the wicked imaginative mind of TBONE. I'm sure by the time we begin development again I will have modified this some based on all the creative ideas coming in.

While the Showcase is Quite nice minor suggestion as well that would help maybe decrease Ads (and help the Males out) If the lady has a showcase it would be nice to see the General Area (if the lady desires) and the donation amount. That way if they DO change there rate during the week they can update it there (if they have already done the weekly ad)

A suggestion would be to add a short-cut to the showcase search in each forum location. For example, under Texas - Austin, add a link "Austin Showcase" that does a location search for Austin.

Another idea would be to have links for a provider's ads and reviews from their showcase.

What would really turn the showcase feature into a complete hobby bucket would be to allow users to have personal (i.e., non-public) tags and notes. For example, I could tag a provider as "GFE,spinner,short-list" or "FBSM" and for notes put in "prefers TXT" or "PM first". Then extend the showcase search for my personal tags.

Overall I really like the showcase feature. Thank you!

That is a great idea rCoder! It would awesome to be able to maintain your own ATF or "To Do" list via the showcase.
