I like that line, and I think that this is true for many men and women. Is there a lot of guilt and shame that most cultures and societies try to push on others for being a part of the Hobby, yes, but once you realize that it doesn't make sense to you, do what makes you happy. If it means that we've sold our souls, I have never felt more free.
