Default MAKE THE WHITE HOUSE A GUN FREE ZONE

"Gun Free Zones are supposed to protect our children, and some politicians wish to strip us of our right to keep and bear arms. Those same politicians and their families are currently under the protection of armed Secret Service agents. If Gun Free Zones are sufficient protection for our children, then Gun Free Zones should be good enough for politicians. ........"

Obama sends his kids to Sidwell Friends School. They have eleven armed guards. It seems some pigs are more equal than others.

Does that make his children more important than any of our children?
How about Jenna and Barbara Bush?

The whole premise of this thread is stupid.

Calm down Assup. The eleven gaurds are in addition to the Secret Service agents that are with Obama's kids wherever they go. The gaurds were there before Obama's kids starting attending. DC is a very dangerous city. The people who send their kids to Sidwell Friends School are rich and can afford to keep their kids safe. Whitehouse lap dog, David Gregory sends his kids there too.

They do as long as daddy is President. Presidential children do not continue SS protection after he leaves office (or turns 18/21 I believe)

Edit: I'm Wrong

http://www.secretservice.gov/protection.shtml
Today, the Secret Service is authorized by law (18 United States Code § 3056) to protect:
The president, the vice president, (or other individuals next in order of succession to the Office of the President), the president-elect and vice president-elect

The immediate families of the above individuals

Former presidents and their spouses for their lifetimes, except when the spouse remarries. In 1997, Congressional legislation became effective limiting Secret Service protection to former presidents for a period of not more than 10 years from the date the former president leaves office

Children of former presidents until age 16

Visiting heads of foreign states or governments and their spouses traveling with them, other distinguished foreign visitors to the United States, and official representatives of the United States performing special missions abroad

Major presidential and vice presidential candidates, and their spouses within 120 days of a general presidential election. As defined in statute, the term "major presidential and vice presidential candidates" means those individuals identified as such by the Secretary of Homeland Security after consultation with an advisory committee consisting of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the minority leader of the House of Representatives, the majority and minority leaders of the Senate, and one additional member selected by the other members of the committee.

Other individuals as designated per Executive Order of the President

National Special Security Events, when designated as such by the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security

It's amazing to think that the early presidents had no security. You could go knock on the Whitehouse door and ask to talk the president. John Quincy Adams used to get up early in the morning and go skinny dipping in the Potomac.

Fredrick Douglas wanted to congratulate Lincoln on his re-election so he just climbed in through a window in the Whitehouse and showed up in the receiving line.

Well I guess my point is that NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre was ridiculed for suggesting that we should have armed gaurds at our schools, by the same liberal elitests that send their kids to Sidwell Friends School.

By the way, Andrew Breitbart is dead. I'm assuming you didn't know that since you called him a pig.
