Default Good butcher shop?

Looking for a real butcher shop with prime cuts.
Waygu and kobe a plus.

Lawson's by The Woodlands is absolutely septic and over rates their beef. They were better about 10 years ago.
I get better at Kroger and HEB!

I'm a bone in ribeye guy. I want a tomahawk steak custom cut.

Any suggestions?

I'd be interested to know as well. I prefer filets.

Dont think they have waygu/kobe but one of the last remaining old-school butcher shops around is Guys Meat Market on OST just west of 288. Check it.

You can find that type of highend meat and the tomahawk steak at B&B Butchers, they also serve all the meats they sell in their butcher shop
http://bbbutchers.com/

Another great butcher shop is Petes Fine Meats

Sir...I still find a HEB flag ship comes closer to the good old days....

My old man made me walk half a mile every week to get the cuts he wanted..so that he can cook for the family....the guy at the butcher shop dropped me back every time in his car...my old man did not know that....

Lol loved that experience....everything cut to specs...my pop wanted...I miss that in this mechanical world today...good post sir brought out memories...

Pete's Fine Meats on Richmond. That said, the better HEBs have both Prime and Kobe beef. A Prime 1 steak is tough to beat. I'm too cheap to pay $30 a pound for Kobe and it looks too fatty for me.

I can vouch for B&B. They have the higher end cuts you're looking for and even things like fresh cut bacon. They even have sandwiches that they make out of the fresh meat

I grew up in the 'hood so I know about Guy's and Burt's. still an old school butcher shop but both will have less quality means

Central Market has a great selection of both meats & seafood. It comes in fresh daily & they're really good with giving suggestions with recipes and info on how to cook to your desired likeness
