Is there any legit reason for provider to accept (only accept) gift card over cash?

If you give them to them at the time of meet and none of your personal info is on it it's probably not a scam the possibility of the money not being traceable is my only thought

If the provider wants the gift card at the time you normally hand over cash my guess is that she doesn't want to have to keep putting green backs in her bank account.


The gal that cuts my hair prefers it being put on a CC than getting cash. I asked (I have always paid service workers cash rather than having them eating a fee from the cc company). She said her bank had started quizzing her about her deposits.
