Unhappy Paid for counterfeit money

What should a provider do if left holding counterfeit money when the client leaves?
She finds this out when she tries to pay her rent.

She should post an alert on her local board here and something on whatever provider sites that she uses to warn other providers away from the guy.

This idea will raise a shitstorm on this board, but if she has his real world info then she can possibly use that to put leverage on the guy to get properly paid.

Legally not sure what she can do, since she probably doesn't want to be reporting an illegal transaction.

1. Post an alert.
2. If she wants to get "them folks" in his life (and quite possibly hers also), there's this:

Call the feds, they are the one's who will handle counterfeit problems, not the local police. They could care less about how she got it, and she is not obligated to tell anyone. Just say it was a personal sale of something she owned.

This happened to a "friend of mine" in KC. She was paid with 2 $100 bills.

Unfortunately there isn't a lot she can do to get the money back. She can report it to the feds and let them know where it came from but the client will just say he doesn't know where he got it or just say he didn't give it to her. There's a lot of bad paper going around everyday. My son got some at a fast food joint the other day and back tracking the chain is near impossible. The provider is most likey out the money. Hate to say it, but the best bet is invest in a money marker pen. Draw a mark, if it turns black tell him to try again.

The most common counterfited currency is the $10 dollar bill. Low enough domination that usually not checked.
Report funny money to the feds! You just might give them enough info to help them out.

Look at this from the good side: she got fucked twice. So, does the good fuck cancel out the bad fuck. That makes things even, so we can go with life.

No, I am a very serious kind of guy. If you take fake money, the government doesn't reimburse you for your, can we say stupid, mistake. If one spends counterfeit money they will probably prosecute your.

So you feel sorry for her. It doesn't change the situation.

Some guys in KC were bitching, moaning and groaning about a young lady who would hold the money up to the light to examine it closely before the meeting got started. They just didn't think it was right.

Any business has the right to examine the payment. Get over it everyone. A girl has a right to look after herself.

Receiving counterfeit money is never a good thing I've had it happen to me twice in my life once came from footlocker out of Lakeside mall at in Metairie Louisiana and I work in a convenience store and went to get a money order for my rent for my half and my roommate the other half and guess what the police were in there the money was fake I had no knowledge of it and they took me to jail for questioning. Luckily for me Foot Locker has some more of the fake money in their safe from the day before and that cleared me of the charges and footlocker gave me a refund of the $80 that I was out. But it still didn't help because I almost lost my job at the gas station not to mention I was harassed and made a fool of and look crazy. And last year I received fake money $100 bill from a guy and it was during this time my dad has passed away and I needed the money really badly. I still have the fake hundred in my drawer as a reminder just to be more careful in checking the money in the future.

Call the john an tell him you r going to call the feds or pay in real bills at a safe place. Believe me feds are way less interested in an escort( unless under age) than in someone passing counterfeit bills.
Or say u got them at a garage sale or something and here is the number. See if he fesses to passing them to a provider.

First: Here's the US Secret Services' 20 pages of "Know Your Money"
There's some basic tips, and, at the least, a bit of history.

http://www.secretservice.gov/know_your_money.shtml

Pages 4, 5 & 20 should be of interest.

----

Second: Pictorials of various denominations from our Federal friends (that are really not interested in misdemeanor activity).

http://www.newmoney.gov/uscurrency/100.htm

For the newer bills, click on the "Security Features" button, and read the "Security Thread" item. This is why cashiers use the highlighter.
Btw, I haven't seen a pre 1997 $100 in years.

Wtf is with all the pansy ass jimmie rats on this board advising people to squeal? No fucking character. Buy a money testing pen, write off a loss, and hope you get a shot at the guy some day.
