It's so quiet!!
I am still pretty new to this scence, but I couldn't help but notice.. it's so quiet on these boards. I'm super bad at conversation sometimes and I don't usually know what to say on posts but..
Why so quiet??? (In my best joker voice)haha..
So here's a start..
Is everyone excited about the holidays despite the horrific Christmas music playing everywhere since Halloween???

I have definitely already surpassed my Christmas music threshold, but I do love the lights. Driving around at night and seeing houses all decked out in Xmas decorations and lights always warms my heart.
And thank you for trying to liven up this place, it can be rather quiet around here.

Hi
I know what you mean about being quiet... I think everybody's getting ready for the Holidays and I try to stay out of the stores that has all the music playing all the time
I'm going to get my present early...

I hate hearing the same xmas music every year for two months straight. Sorry to go negative on you, but the older I get the more I despise the holiday music. Been hearing the same old stuff for several decades. Just tired of it I guess. Wish we could at least keep it contained to just the month of December.
Other than that, it's fine. The pretty lights and decorations are kinda cool, and I love the smell of a real tree. Not very excited about hanging out with the extended family though. I feel obligated to do that.
More importantly, I'd like to know if you (Sophia) might be willing to spread some holiday cheer by making a visit to Jackson soon. I'd certainly love to meet you, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would make an appointment if you're willing to travel.
What would it take to convince you to come try out Jackson?

Sophia:
Weekends also tend to be quiet - guys have a difficult time getting on ECCIE with everyone home.
As for the holidays, I don't mind the music, but I don't go into a lot of stores that play it. My grocery store just started a couple days ago, so I'm not overloaded yet.
I am looking forward to the holidays - it was great to have a ton of people at the new house in the hills of Tennessee for Thanksgiving. They're all folks I like, well, there is THAT sister-in-law but the rest are cool. It will be a trip back to MS for Christmas with the kids and grandkids. That will be nice too, although the ex has already complained about me being at one event - she's such an ass. But it's her problem, not mine.

I love the Christmas lights and decorations although I tire quickly of the same recycled Christmas songs that the radio and stores play every year. I prefer listening to Pandora where you can choose what kind of music you want to hear and thumbs down what you don't want to listen to. I wish the radio had a thumbs down button, hehe. ;-)

I love the lights and decorations too, very much. I once went to a town in Florida around this time and the whole city was lit up in christmas lights.. it was AMAZING...
but I sincerly don't understand the instant that Halloween is in sight.. Christmas music and all that pops up everywhere. Seriously.. what the hell is the rush?? Is anyone actually in a rush to spend thousands of dollars for Christmas and for The year to end?
All kidding aside though, I know everyone here, whether provider or hobbiest alike, all have our own lives and we are busy. It's nice to see variety and conversation on here because I don't know most of you guys.

Not to change the subject but how nice would it be to wake up to Sophia in a life sized christmas stocking and nothing else in your living room? It might be hard to explain to your wife but the picture in my head sure is nice lol

Hey Sophia, love that someone else is trying to generate conversation here. Sometimes people have so much going on in real life, they forget to breathe. It happens. But, I'll keep posting and talking as it makes it easier for others to join in when and where they can.
And I have met some of the most interesting people here, women and men. Get them to talking and you will find a wealth of good people here and worth listening to. And if that doesn't work, I'll start posting stupid shit again...lol.

I love the Holidays but they are kind of stressful for me. I love spending time with friends and family but I do get a bit of relief when the Holidays are over. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of 2016. I am looking forward to a prosperous 2017. Cheers Everyone !!!

If we are talking about Christmas gifts, I think this would be a better one.
As far as the quiet, I'm a newbie as well, so I don't have much to add but sarcasm and an ill-timed joke or two.
I like the holidays because usually everyone is on their best behaviour, and if it doesn't involve a sale or out of stock items, they are usually nice too. I hate that it's got so commercialized and they start hawking it in October. I personally don't start any of it till after Thanksgiving and try to keep to whatever traditions me and the kids have started.
