Having Fun With Robo Sales Calls
I've just started doing this, I'm enjoying myself, LOL.. seems like I've been getting a rash of these robot calls lately.. I just had this encounter:
Robot Female: "Hi, the 2015 Automobile Insurance laws are changing, I might can get you a better rate.. do you have a few moments"?
me: no, I have a Ford Escort
RF: "um.. I'm sorry, could you repeat that"?
me: "I have a Ford Escort"
RF: (pause).. "ok, and are you a homeowner?"
me: "no, I rent"
RF: "let me get you to the right agent"
me: "I thought you were the agent"
RF: "would you like being able to save a lot of money"?
me: "I can't save.. I'm a fool about my money"
RF: (pause) "thanks, bye!" (click)
yesterday I got the free security system call, where you hit #1 to get a "live" agent.. the call where the Robot says this is not a sales call, that your name was recommended by someone.. when the Agent came on the line, I kept asking who was the friend that suggested me.. he kept asking my name, I said you should know it already since I came recommended.. after 5 minutes of back-and-forth, I suggested that maybe I had received a robo-call? he hung up.
the Texas no-call list used to work, seems like the plethora of cell phones rendered that useless..
